Today we’d like to introduce you to D’Angeles Campos.
Thanks for sharing your story with us D’Angeles. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Since I was a little girl as far as I can remember (nine years old) I knew I wanted to be an actress and travel the world. Coming from the middle of nowhere in the northeast part of Brazil. Been poor and lack of opportunities seemed almost impossible to conquer my dreams. When I was 19, I decided that I would do whatever it takes to leave Brazil and chase my dreams. At 20 years old, I fell in love with an Argentinian boy and ended up moving to Buenos Aires. While there, I started learning Spanish and starts taking theater classes. It was an incredible experience and it def opened the first door to my dreams. Traveling and investing in my career dream. Almost two years later I decide to travel to London and to learn English as I had one of my cousins there and he would help me. My boyfriend at the time didn’t want to come to London so I left and went to London.
It was one of the best decision I made in my Life. Living in London, learning, making money, meeting amazing people would open so many doors for me. I’ve pretty much did everything I had in mind. I’ve traveled the world and went to school for acting. I had enough money to start investing in my dreams. And I knew where my heart was and eventually I would be in a position where I could say now I am ready. What I really wanted was eventually moved to the “City of Angels” I’ve Dreamed with the name Hollywood my entire life. Deep inside my passion always been Acting. And this was the perfect place to be. I’ve lived in few other cities in USA prior to Los Angeles. In 2017, moved to LA and quicker than I thought There I was acting and producing My first short film in LA. Life couldn’t be any better. A comedy called “Commonality” coming soon!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I was so prepared emotionally and financially and already had few friends living in LA my Ride been smooth. The only struggle really is networking. Meeting the right people.
We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I make extra money doing modeling, working at events and bartend sometimes. I will continue to invest all I can in acting/producing films.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I believe in creating my own opportunities. I did meet a few people that helped me a little.
