Meet Asia Park of Makeupapap

Today we’d like to introduce you to Asia Park.

Asia, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Its a funny story, I was never ever untrusted or even wore makeup, but I had interest in skincare and was in esthetician school, where the offered us makeup course with April Love Pro Makeup Academy and I decided why not. There I opened new world of words and colors, I didn’t know anything, like clearly anything!!! I felt so dumb that decided to force myself and became the best.

In our final I won a competition and April invited me to New York Fashion Week with Art Hearts Foundation in September 2018. It was a great experience, like bootcamp for me. I was doing makeup just one month, but I feel myself almost same level as everyone else there who does it for years. I mean I felt that after those years I can be just the best of the best if I will keep working hard. Then I finished Cinema Makeup School and felt in love with character makeup, prosthetics and special effects. My teachers said im very talented and predicted a great future. Future in film industry.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I didn’t have any struggles, I felt I was born for this and everything comes around.

Makeupapap – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I’m a Makeup Artist, specialized in beauty, character, prosthetics and special effects. I’m talented, hard working and perfectionist. I always do the best.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
For me, it will be authority and financial stability. Become best of the best in Makeup industry, being invited to work in movie productions with big directors and actors as a head makeup. My goal to win an Oscar as a best makeup and ill be there 100%.
