Meet Corbin Dallas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Corbin Dallas.

So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I am originally from Houston Texas. I have been singing and performing since I was in high school in a band called TwentyEleven. That’s really when I got my taste of what I really wanted to do with my life which was performing and making music. After the band took a break, I felt like I couldn’t so I continued to write music and perform at different lounges. For a couple of years, I was performing covers and doing one off shows but I still didn’t feel fulfilled. I was always booked and always busy but I felt like I wanted to up the stakes and take my career to the next level. So I started saying to myself “I want to move to LA”. In the beginning I would just say it, then I started to tell other people and they started opening opportunities for me and it became more real for me. So I set off to LA, took an extra-long drive to Portland to stay I with my mom for a couple of weeks. Then I drove to Denver CO to record my project WATER with my mentor/ producer Carl Carrell. After that, I drove to Los Angeles.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
So when I first moved to LA in August of 2017. My living situation had to change last minute. I was now living in Fontana, CA. I was now 55miles outside of the city. But I didn’t let that stop me. I would spend about 4 hours of my day just driving into LA doing studio sessions, working at a coffee shop (Go Get Em Tiger). Learning a new city layout, getting so many tickets and multiple car towing situations. My first year in LA was definitely a change of pace and was something I had to get used to. But I did it for about three months then I finally found an apartment in K town.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
