Meet Andrew Hahn of DASH Run Studio in Santa Monica

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrew Hahn.

Andrew, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
After 20 years in LA Tech, serving as Global VP of multiple tech companies, I wanted to change the world. I had a drive to take my passion and purpose and make running fun. With the help of multiple LA Tech investors, I created a sanctuary where runners and non-runners could escape with interval training to grab that runner’s high and help them own the day.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The biggest challenge has been closing the gap between what we do and what people think we do. Although runners love us, we get even greater satisfaction out of general athletes or non-runners who become addicted to that runners high. Through our programming, we challenge people at their own pace to grow each run. Marketing to non-runners and overcoming the fear of running has been our biggest challenge for sure.

DASH Run Studio – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We are the only stand-alone treadmill run studio in LA. We have over 30 programs which include our signature class, signature & sculpt, Run AF3, and Altitude which challenges our members to push their limits in a comfortable, supportive environment with data-driven insights. Runners dictate their own pace for their own level, so athletes of all levels can run at their and push their personal paces and limits.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Making haters…lovers. We see the trepidation with first-time visitors. To see them enter with concern and leave on cloud 9 and change the tone of their day is why we do this
