Today we’d like to introduce you to Karen Rosenberg.
Karen, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I am a graphic designer with a passion for typography and paper. I have worked in custom invitations for many years, specializing in wedding invitation designs. I worked for William Ernest Brown for many years when the previous owners decided to retire and close the shop. After a (then) 48 year history in Los Angeles, I couldn’t bear to see it close and took over in 2014 as the current owner. We moved to our current location in the historic Brentwood Cottage in 2015 and love it!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It was a bit rocky getting people to adapt to the new location at first. But once they found us, they loved the absolutely charming location!
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the William Ernest Brown story. Tell us more about the business.
We are a custom stationery studio which handles orders in all aspects of stationery, ie: business cards, letterhead, personalized thank you notes, party invitations, baby announcements, holiday cards, etc… I would have to say that we particularly specialize in Wedding invitations. We have a large variety of top wedding vendors that we work with and are most known for our original creative invitations, our attention to detail and our exceptional customer service!
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I would say that I have been very lucky to have worked with some of the most creative individuals and have found myself to be in the right place at the right time on several different occasions.
