Today we’d like to introduce you to Angela Lindvall.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Angela. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started as a tomboy from a small town outside Kansas City, Missouri- then became a high fashion model for some of the most prestigious brands advertising and runway.
When I moved to NYC at 17, I became deeply aware of the environmental degradation of our planet. I was an eco-activist helping to start the “Green Movement” and bringing these issues to the mainstream. After some difficult life challenges, I realized that caring for oneself, healing and love are the most important aspects of making the world a better place. Through our daily choices, we have a major impact on the health of the planet.
I’ve had two children (boys) one at 23 and the other at 26 years old. Becoming a mother became my most important job of all. As my children have grown to 17 & 14, I have been continuing my studies and interests since a young age on metaphysics, spirituality, ancient cultures, wellness, the healing arts, and yogic science.
I became a certified Health Coach thru the Institute Of Integrative Nutrition, a certified instructor of Kundalini Yoga, and am currently in the process of becoming a Dula.
I’ve been working for years on developing a platform to contribute to personal self-growth and stepping into a path as a teacher. This year, I launched Peace Begins In Me- a platform to cultivate self-love, and inner peace.
We have weekly yoga, monthly workshops, Women’s Circles, and private retreats and ceremonies. We incorporate the yogic sciences, sound healing, meditation, inner reflection, and processes of illumination to participants.
It feels amazing to step into a long time calling, face my fears, and to provide tools and resources that help individuals grow into their highest potential.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been easy transitioning from being a high fashion model who was in high demand in an industry that you are valued for the way you look, making a lot of money- to feel the pull of my heart and soul in another direction.
I was terrified of stepping into my voice and riddled with self-doubt. It also didn’t make sense to many that I would turn down a prestigious career to follow my heart- not knowing how to financially sustain myself doing so.
I learned a lot about trust and faith. Ive always been provided for, and when we surrender and follow our hearts, synchronicities and miracles start to show up.
I also learned that what I believe becomes my reality. I have spent many years in self-reflection and growth, which has allowed me to release limiting thoughts, old traumas, understand that our feelings and emotions create our individual experiences and those with others. Through my daily practice of connecting with my true identity- rather than external judgments and perceptions- I expand my horizon.
When we become aware of each and every choice, we make it empowers us to become the directors of our lives. Life is short. Life is precious. We worry about so many things that will never happen. When we spend more time appreciating all that we do have to be grateful for- we begin to experience our existence in a much deeper way.

So much of the media coverage is focused on the challenges facing women today, but what about the opportunities? Do you feel there are any opportunities that women are particularly well positioned for?
I am an optimist. We tend to focus on the negative- and overlook all the great potentials. I believe in the ability for humanity to imagine the world they wish to create vs complain about the things that are bad.
The contrast gives us a viewpoint of knowing what we want and don’t want. There are many problems in the world that we face. I encourage to look into the solutions and be a part of that vision.
Women carry the feminine quality of nurturing, community, and love. Women are very powerful when we know who we really are, and our true value. We have a lot to contribute to the healing of mother earth and humanity.
We each must start with ourselves as individuals, and then do what we can to spread our light and help uplift others. To be advocates for hope, and humanity. How are you contributing on a daily basis with your own energy?
Peace Begins In YOU! And in ME.
