Meet Rudik Osorio

Has it been a smooth road?
These last couple of years I’ve been fortunate enough that I’ve kept busy and have been around creative people and projects.

I began my career in post-production. Started as an assistant editor, then started getting clients for editing.

I’m currently in the transition to produce more. Content is king nowadays, and have been working more and more in the digital marketing realm.

We’d love to hear more about what you do.
My new project is called BIVA. I’m starting with these intimate profiles of artists that I find interesting. So far we have interviewed a singer-songwriter, a DJ, and graphic artists. I started this project because I want to meet other people that inspire me and want to give them a platform where they can share anything about their art.

What sets apart these artist profiles is that I keep them as intimate as possible. It’s just me, the director of photography, and the subject.

Eventually, BIVA will grow into something bigger and a variety of content – other docu-series, narrative series, music videos, anything I find worth sharing/creating!

I like picking the brains out of the people I’m collaborating with. In my journey, I’ve learned that collaboration is key and fundamental in the filmmaking experience.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Being from Los Angeles, the city inspires me. I want to tell stories that are specific from here, and later tell stories that pertain to other cities. I fall in love by metropolis and their people. Some of my favorite cities that I’ve been to and eventually want to shoot are Chicago, Mexico City, and Buenos Aires.
