Today we’d like to introduce you to Robert Slack.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Robert. So, let’s start at the beginning, and we can move on from there.
I began my life work as many musicians have, in school music programs. Born in 1953, I grew up in Northern California, attended Armijo HS, Solano College, Cal State Chico. My wife Joanne and I were married in 1977 and two weeks later drove across the country so I could attend Indiana University.
I specifically attended IU to study trumpet with William Adam. William Adam was one of the finest trumpet teachers in the country. That decision forever changed my life and my future pursuits. I’m attaching the rest to an email to Sid Reddy
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Incredible long hours, practice- lots of travel.
We’d love to hear more about what you do.
I specialize in helping young musicians learn to believe in themselves, organization and dedication.
