Meet Stephanie Ganowski of Stephanie Ganowski- Relationship Coach for Men in Santa Monica

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Ganowski.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Stephanie. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Where to start!… This is the toughest question to answer, especially as a woman obsessed with psychology. I would love to take you back in time to my 8 year old self and start the story there because I believe where we are now is ALL related to that child within us and the way we’ve trained our mind since then! Anyway (I’m nerding out), I’ll save you guys a year of reading and give you the ‘long story, short’ version (haha)!

Working as a fitness coach for about 5 years, I noticed how many of my clients loved to just talk during our sessions (I’m sure many other trainers can relate to this feeling). It wasn’t casual talk though… it was personal. I would listen to their struggles in life, their fears, their divorces, their boring sex lives and their feelings of unworthiness. Even the clients who appeared very well-off and confident would open up to me about their inner self-conflicts and uncertainties. With a BA in Psychology from Montclair State University, I enjoyed this kind of talk and always tried to give them a new way of looking at their situation, so that they weren’t so down on themselves. Some of my clients were able to shift their mindsets, while others continued to mentally beat themselves up. Over time, I started noticing a positive correlation between my ‘positive’ clients and dramatic fitness results! On the other hand, those who ‘beat themselves up’ had a really hard time achieving their fitness goals. I had also put myself through a bikini competition during this time, which forced me to create a serious mindset shift myself, in order to win (which I did). So I thought, “Wow, this mindset stuff is serious. If your mind is not there, your body can’t be either.” So I started working more on mindset training with clients, as well as on my own. But something was missing. I was still looking for my true purpose in life and mindset around the gym wasn’t it. Around this time, a very good friend of mine said I would make an amazing dating coach for men (My excitement for discussion around human behavior, sex, attraction, connection was quite obvious to others). However, I found the idea absolutely crazy because of my history with men- it wasn’t a healthy/happy one. I told him something like “Work with men?! Oh my god, no. Maybe in a million years…” Now, I had many male friends at the time and multiple male clients at the gym but overall, I didn’t understand men and I think I was afraid to. I was hurt so many times and instead of seeing that hurt coming from individuals, I just put the blame on the entire species instead. I guess that was easier than dealing with my shit, finding a way to heal myself and learning from past events.

Then life became very difficult (because my mind was in a bad place), struggling with anxiety induced panic attacks and feelings of depression, I told myself something big had to change for me to feel differently. So I bought a one-way plane ticket to California, found an apartment 4 days before the flight, kissed my family goodbye and flew across the country to ‘start over’. [Now, about one year before moving to Cali, I became even more active on Instagram, where I had befriended a small group of men who lived across the world, were in relationships, very successful and busy and seemed to want nothing from me but friendship. I found this very strange and ‘unrealistic’ but it happened and it made me want to rethink my negative views around men]. So not long after my move, I read John Gray’s book, “Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus” and fell in love with the concept of gender intelligence, the psychology of attraction and appreciating the differences between men and women. At this point, I was ready to change and see men in a totally new light. The clock was also ticking in terms of finances and I needed to get to work. So I started a new business, coaching men on relationships!

I absolutely LOVE what I do, especially since I have taught myself how to love men and attract the greatest men into my life! I wake up every single day feeling passionate and motivated to teach men how to become the best versions of themselves so that they are ready to attract the women of their dreams! The men I work with often come to me struggling with social/dating anxiety around women and my aim is to help them gain massive confidence in themselves. My coaching focus is on mindset shifting (Surprise, haha!) because I want men to realize that whatever they believe about themselves, comes through their physical body language…which women have the ability to read very accurately.

I’m actually amazed that I am where I am today. It’s so insane to me and becomes more surreal each and every day. I feel so blessed to be doing what I do and I look forward to progressing in my business and life through the studies of gender intelligence, human behavior and communication, neuroscience (backing up mindset shifting through physical brain studies) and neuro-linguistic programming (the language of the mind)!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
In my opinion, if it’s a smooth road, then beware (haha). I truly believe the obstacles and challenges are the most important part of growth, change and success! We don’t learn much from our success but we do learn a TON from our failures (which lead to our success). As I mentioned above, I faced challenges with anxiety, depression and also a negative body image after my bikini show (I’m sure many women can relate to me here). I felt so out of control and helpless. However, I feel proud looking back on it because that ‘sad’ girl made a move. She was so fed up and wanted change so bad and she actually made it happen. Starting a new business is of course a challenge. It demands more money, more creativity, more ideas to test out, more ‘putting yourself out there’ on social media (which was and still is scary for me) and a lot of the time, what you would think will work, doesn’t. It sucks… but it also teaches you a lesson in paying closer attention to your audience and not so much on yourself. I found that when I created my content more for my personal clients, the men on my page (Instagram), and the men I spoke to in public, I was able to relate to men on an entirely new level. I learned to understand where their heads are at and how I can help to the best of my ability! New challenges arise daily. For instance, I’m trying to make my podcast more official and it’s very frustrating for me because ‘tech’ is not my area of genius (haha). I still try to see challenges as a means of growth, learning patience and rising up, never taking a step back!

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Stephanie Ganowski- Relationship Coach for Men – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
As a relationship coach, I help men become the best versions of themselves so that they feel excited and confident approaching any woman at any time. I do this by starting them off on a 90 day plan, which focuses on 3 specific goals they want to achieve, to bring them closer to attracting the exact woman they want! One of my clients actually went from 0 dates to 3 dates/weekend to an exclusive relationship in under 90 days- it was so incredible to be part of the experience! I offer 3 different packages for 1:1 coaching (details on my website). One package also involves fitness coaching (since I have the training background and exercise is the most powerful tool to improve overall confidence, in my opinion)!

I specialize in working with men who struggle with social anxiety (especially around women), helping them to understand the female mindset more in depth, awareness of body language patterns and techniques to help get them out of their ‘stuck’ mental beliefs and into self-assurance and positive daily habits! These techniques and habits force them to think in a new way, which creates a new identity for them, which then attracts women they’ve never attracted before.

I am most proud of my test and measure system, making sure my clients are always moving forward each week and are happy with the path they are on and the direction they are headed in! Also, as a coach, I take my business very seriously and I cut out the fluff. Working with men, becoming more assertive was important for me to learn and practice. I would rather see my clients get results than fear ‘hurting their feelings’. Overall, it’s been a blast! I love the men I work with on a weekly basis and I love the men on my Instagram page. They are all so supportive, respectful and I learn so much from them! I truly cannot see myself doing anything else. I don’t know if it’s even possible to be more passionate than I am about my work (haha)!

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Future plans! Yes, yes, yes! Once I figure out how to get my ‘official’ podcast (“What I Love about Men”) up and running (right now I have a. few episodes up on the ‘Anchor’ app), I see that being a big part of my future. This podcast was created to highlight the greatness in men (through solo episodes and interviews) so that women are more aware of all the amazing guys out there, often overlooked. I also want the men on this show to talk about what they love most about women! Eventually, I will target more women in my content and events.

My big plan is to improve communication between men and women, in heterosexual relationships (for now, anyway!). By starting with the men, I can get a clearer idea of how their minds/behaviors differ from us women and then be able to speak to the women more clearly, having that male perspective already set in my mind and ready to explain it. I will start by hosting workshops, then become involved with larger events in the country and eventually travel the world as a speaker- helping men understand and love women with more certainty and helping women overcome male-related trauma, so that they can be free of holding resentment towards men and instead learn to see them in a new light!

(Fun fact: Public speaking was always my #1 fear, up until 2 years ago!)
