Conversations with the Inspiring Lizette Goodwin

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lizette Goodwin.

Lizette, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Ever since I can remember I’ve loved makeup. I remember when I was a little girl I would sneak into my mom’s makeup drawer and try her lipsticks on. She’s one the reasons why I’m so into makeup (gracias Mami). As I grew older and got into high I started doing my friends makeup for special occasion till I got pregnant in high school then I would just practice on myself till I had my son. After I had him I knew I wanted to make a career as a makeup artist and then I attended a makeup school. After I finish makeup school I started doing photoshoots, fashion shows, weddings and quinceñeras. Now 17 years later I still love what I do and look forward to opening a makeup school of my own in the near future.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It what not a smooth road especially in the beginning with me being a young mother but I knew I had to do it because it was something I wanted in life. To all the young artist don’t give up on your dream if it’s something you want you have to work for it but it will all pay off at the end.

What should we know about Lizziesogood ? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I’m a makeup artist and I specialize in glam and bridal makeup.

Who do you look up to? How have they inspired you?
My mother has always been my biggest inspiration she’s very artistic, hardworking and a great mother. I’m so thankful to have her as my mother.
