Today we’d like to introduce you to LaQuita Cleare.
LaQuita, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Interestingly enough, I started speaking and working as a communication coach before I even had a company. As a young child, I had a curiosity that caused me to speak to EVERYONE. I almost gave my mother a heart attack talking to “strangers,” but now I realize how much those experiences have shaped me. As I got older I became the go-to person for advice on presenting. I would help people with presentations, speaking, and writing. This led me to work with some pretty big companies as a spokesperson at events and helping the marketing departments find creative ways to reach customers.
In working with companies and individuals I noticed that there was never any attention given to communication and public speaking. I already had a few clients when I started my company, so I figured I should make it formal and create a company. In the beginning, I wondered how I would consistently obtain clients and now I’ve been fortunate to travel the world doing what I love. As I’ve grown, the power of “Word of mouth” has been incredible for growing my business.
Has it been a smooth road?
I don’t think any entrepreneur experiences a smooth road. And if they do, I would love to know the secret. I think there are often struggles that come with consistent work, hiring the right people to enhance your team, and making sure that you really understand what makes your business unique. This way you can rise above the noise to make an impact.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Clear Media Communication Academy – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We transform communication to help entrepreneurs and businesses connect, engage, and inspire their audiences.
We are known for using practical tools and tips to help you find your authentic voice and become a better speaker. I really think my unique background as an actress coupled with my Psychology background makes our training special. I feel proud every time a client gets in front of an audience and delivers an incredible speech or when I speak to an audience and afterwards, an audience member tells me how much I’ve helped them. For me, these moments are worth more than gold.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
In general, I think Los Angeles is such a diverse city with so much to do. Oh and the weather! In particular, Studio City is such a centrally located area with great restaurants, easy access to the best hiking spots, and the overall vibe is great.
What I like least about Los Angeles is that you have to drive everywhere. It feels less walkable than other big cities like Chicago and New York.
