Meet Taylor Jevaux of Taylor Jevaux Productions

Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Jevaux.

Taylor, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Creativity has always been a huge part of my life. I spent a lot of time to myself as a child creating art and exploring creative outlets. I was eager to try new ways of expressing my creativity. So naturally, I fell into my fascination for photography in the 6th grade.

Throughout the years I started to develop my “eye” for photography as a hobby. When I was 15 I left home due to unfit living circumstances. It was a rough patch in time but defiantly necessary to my evolution as a person. I graduated high school at 16 and at 17 continued my schooling with a Holistic Health Practitioner Program.

The main facet of Holistic Health that I decided to turn into my first business was massage therapy. I started to travel more internationally around this time and that sparked my curiosity for videography. I felt that I really wanted to capture the whole essence of different cultures and to share that with others.

I started to make videos while I was traveling and as other people started to see my work it turned into creating content as a career. Now I am currently doing content creation for a modeling agency as well as freelance work.

Has it been a smooth road?
It was definitely not a smooth road. As I mentioned, leaving home at 15 was a hard obstacle for me to overcome. Finding my own voice was very difficult for me. I feel like videography and creativity, in general, has helped allow me to express myself as a person.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
My style of videography and direction is a good combination of artistic and natural. I focus on my subjects looking as if they aren’t being filmed at all. I feel that when people are in their own element they really shine. Listening to what my clients envision and bringing it to life makes me very proud of my work.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I feel like LA is a great place to be for videography. There is such a buzz of creativity in this city. If you can really focus on yourself, your work and what your goals are I think it’s a great place to start.
