Today we’d like to introduce you to Gianluca Todisco.
Hi Gianluca, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My name is Gianluca Todisco. I was born and raised in Rome, the capital city of Italy. Since I was very young, I have been passionate about art, expressing myself through music, singing, dancing, writing, and painting.
At the age of four, I began taking singing and dance classes, which later led to classical piano lessons. After graduating from “La Sapienza” University in Rome with a degree in Fashion and Performing Arts, I made the decision to pursue my passion for music in the USA, first in New York and later in Los Angeles.
From a young age, I had a strong desire to create music in any way possible. I chose to move to the USA because I believed that exploring new places, meeting new people, and having diverse experiences would not only foster artistic growth but also personal development.
Through my art, my music, lyrics, visuals, and movements, I want to inspire others. I personally direct all aspects of my productions, from the music and lyrics to the stage design and choreography.
In my productions, I strive to share my deepest experiences and visions, hoping that they resonate with others and provide them with solace or insight. I believe that by sharing my own struggles and triumphs, I can help others navigate similar challenges and remind them that they are not alone.
I love knowing that others can see themselves reflected in my work and find comfort or inspiration in the themes I explore, like in my new single “AMNESIA”. It is an Afro House track born from my fascination with the invisible connections that can exist between two souls, even when they are separated by time, distance, or different chapters of life.
The song explores the idea of soulmates as two people who may be constantly searching for one another without consciously knowing exactly what they are looking for. There is an invisible lace connecting them, a thread that stretches across time and space and somehow continues to pull them toward each other. Sometimes, I imagine that we can meet someone in this lifetime and feel something strangely familiar, as if a part of us already knows them.
The title AMNESIA comes from this idea of forgetting. What if, before entering this life, we knew exactly who we were meant to find, but somewhere along the way we forgot? What if falling in love is, in some way, remembering?
For me, music has always been more than something to listen to. It can become a frequency, a space, and sometimes even a form of communication. With AMNESIA, I wanted to create that kind of experience. The intention is not simply for people to hear the song, but to enter it.
The Afro House rhythm creates the physical dimension of the song. It makes you want to move, dance, close your eyes and let yourself go. At the same time, the melody and lyrics create an emotional and almost dreamlike space where your imagination can take over.
While listening, I invite people to visualize their soulmate. It could be someone they already know, someone they have lost, someone they are waiting to meet, or even someone they cannot yet put a face to. The idea is to allow themselves to wonder: Where are they? Are they thinking about me? Are we somehow already connected?
I love the thought that two people could be listening to the same song somewhere in the world, completely unaware of each other, yet imagining the same invisible connection.
There is also something very personal about AMNESIA. Much of my artistic work revolves around the relationship between music, spirituality, human connection and the idea that reality may be much more mysterious than what we can physically perceive. I am interested in those moments when intuition feels stronger than logic, when you meet someone and experience a sense of recognition that you cannot rationally explain.
Rather than giving the listener a single interpretation, I wanted AMNESIA to leave space for their own story. You can experience it as a love song, a song about longing, a spiritual connection, or simply as a track that makes you want to dance and dream.
Ultimately, AMNESIA is about the possibility that some connections do not need to be understood in order to be felt.
It is about searching. It is about remembering.
And perhaps, somewhere between the rhythm and the frequency, finding the person your soul has been looking for.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Being an independent artist means wearing many different hats and learning how to navigate not only the creative side of music, but also the business side of the industry. There have been moments of uncertainty, challenges, and times when I’ve had to question myself and my direction.
One of the biggest challenges has been learning to trust my own vision, especially when it doesn’t necessarily fit into a specific category or follow the expectations of the industry. My music is a very personal expression of who I am, and I’ve always wanted to create something that feels authentic to me, rather than simply following trends.
I’ve also had to learn how to overcome my own fears and keep moving forward, even when things haven’t happened as quickly as I hoped. Looking back, I realize that every challenge has helped me grow, both as an artist and as a person. I believe that finding your own voice takes time and I’m learning to embrace the journey rather than focus only on the destination.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m an independent Italian artist, singer-songwriter and music producer, as well as a sound healing practitioner and meditation teacher. My work revolves around the connection between music, emotions, spirituality, and human consciousness.
As an artist, I write and produce my own music, combining electronic sounds, hypnotic rhythms, and atmospheric elements to create immersive experiences that go beyond simply listening. I’m drawn to exploring the deeper layers of human experience through my music, often blending physical, dance-driven energy with a more introspective and spiritual dimension.
Alongside my music career, I’m a meditation/sound bath teacher, using instruments such as crystal singing bowls, gongs, and other sounds to create spaces for relaxation, self-exploration, and inner connection. For me, these two worlds are deeply interconnected. Whether I’m creating a song or guiding a meditation, I’m interested in how sound can move us, shift our perception, and connect us with something deeper within ourselves.
I’m particularly proud of being able to bring these different dimensions of my identity together while staying true to my own artistic vision. I’ve never felt the need to fit into just one category, and I see that as one of my greatest strengths. I want my work to be an expression of who I am, rather than something defined by a specific genre or expectation.
My latest single, Amnesia, is a reflection of this approach. It’s an Afro House track that combines an infectious, danceable rhythm with a deeper conceptual meaning, exploring the idea of an invisible thread connecting soulmates across time, space, and frequencies. The concept revolves around the idea that, before entering this life, we may forget who we are destined to find, and that love can be a process of remembering.
Ultimately, what sets me apart is my desire to bring together different worlds: music and spirituality, movement and introspection, the physical and the invisible. I want to create experiences that people can feel on a physical level while also leaving them with something to explore on a deeper, more personal one.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
Absolutely. No creative journey happens entirely in isolation, and I’m grateful to the people who have supported me, encouraged me, and believed in my vision along the way.
I’m especially grateful to the people who have supported me not only in my successes, but also during moments of uncertainty, when believing in myself and my vision wasn’t always easy. Sometimes, having someone who sees your potential and encourages you to keep going can make a real difference.
I also believe that every person who connects with my music or participates in one of my sound healing sessions becomes part of the journey in some way. Knowing that something I’ve created can resonate with someone, help them connect with their emotions, or make them feel less alone is one of the most meaningful forms of support I could receive.
Ultimately, I’m thankful for everyone who has played a part in my journey, whether through encouragement, collaboration, or simply being there. Their support reminds me that, while the creative process can be deeply personal, the reason we create is often to connect with others.
