Conversations with Michael Smith

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Smith.

Hi Michael, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started as a music die hard who just wanted a way in the Industry. I started rapping and song writing at 16. Then began engineering at 19. I got into production later on and directed music videos for a stretch. Overtime I’ve made a few projects and collabs with many over the years.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Of course not. I was kid when I started. Wet behind the ears on everything. Plus I was a newly made father. So I had a lot on my plate as is. My road was never easy but I stayed on it.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a songwriter, produce and audio engineer. I’m proud of the albums I put out and of the time I put into my craft. I think what sets me apart is my passion and my vision. When I really see an idea I’m stuck on making it real.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Perseverance and a willingness to be humble when the occasion calls for it.
