Life & Work with Jean Milan of Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jean Milan.

Hi Jean, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I always knew that I was gonna do something with music. I started taking music seriously as a career in 2020. Since I had already been producing for years, I started focusing more on vocal production and mixing. I graduated from icon collective and started working as an audio engineer. Eventually, I worked my way to a bigger studio and started as an intern. Now I am a lead engineer and studio manager.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Whoever says this is a easy road is lying. Being in the music industry is a blessing through patients. As a woman engineer, I have faced many struggles and criticism. It’s too be expected. The best thing that you can do is use it as motivation to continue expanding your knowledge and exploring opportunities. At the end of the day, what matters the most is the standards you put for yourself. Everything has its ups and downs. It’s just how you choose to shapes your experience.
