Conversations with Olga Loera

Today we’d like to introduce you to Olga Loera.

Olga, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My journey has been a continuous process of growth, self-discovery, and learning to trust myself, even when the path ahead wasn’t always clear. Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to explore different creative industries, including modeling, entertainment, beauty, and entrepreneurship. Each experience has taught me something valuable about resilience, discipline, and the importance of believing in your own potential.

My career developed through a combination of ambition, hard work, and a willingness to step outside my comfort zone. Working in the modeling and entertainment industries introduced me to incredible opportunities, but it also taught me that success requires much more than talent or appearance. It takes consistency, adaptability, professionalism, and the ability to navigate an industry that is constantly evolving.

Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to experience different sides of the creative world, from modeling and editorial projects to television appearances and entrepreneurial ventures. These experiences have helped me grow both professionally and personally. They have also encouraged me to keep exploring new opportunities instead of limiting myself to one definition of who I am or what I can accomplish.

One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is that everyone’s journey looks different. It’s easy to compare yourself to others, especially in industries where so much of life happens in the public eye. However, I’ve come to appreciate the importance of staying focused on my own growth, remaining open to change, and remembering that every experience, including the challenging ones, can teach you something meaningful.

Today, I continue to embrace opportunities that allow me to express my creativity, grow as a professional, and explore new possibilities. I’m proud of the experiences that have shaped me, but I also believe that there is always more to learn and accomplish. For me, the journey is about continuing to evolve, staying true to myself, and having the courage to pursue what genuinely excites me.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t always been a smooth road. Like many people pursuing a career in creative industries, I’ve had to learn how to navigate uncertainty, overcome challenges, and remain focused on my goals even when things didn’t happen as quickly as I had hoped.

Working in modeling and entertainment can be challenging because you’re constantly evolving in an environment where rejection, competition, and unpredictability are part of the process. I’ve learned that you cannot allow external opinions or circumstances to determine your worth. There will always be moments when you have to prove yourself, adapt to unexpected situations, and find the strength to keep moving forward.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is the importance of resilience and self-belief. Success doesn’t happen overnight, and sometimes the opportunities you expect don’t work out. However, those experiences can teach you patience, help you develop a stronger sense of identity, and encourage you to recognize your own value beyond your professional achievements.

I’ve also learned that growth requires stepping outside your comfort zone and being willing to embrace change. Every challenge has given me an opportunity to become more independent, disciplined, and intentional about the decisions I make.

Looking back, I understand that the difficult moments have been just as important as the successes because they have helped shape the person I am today. I continue to approach my career with an open mind, determination, and a willingness to learn. My journey has taught me that setbacks don’t have to define you; what matters most is how you respond to them and whether you allow yourself to keep growing.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My work has always been rooted in creativity, reinvention, and the belief that you don’t have to limit yourself to one identity or one career path. I am a Mexican-born, Los Angeles–based model, actress, entrepreneur, and creative professional whose journey has taken me across the worlds of international fashion, entertainment, beauty, and lifestyle.

I began my professional journey in the beauty industry, working as a hairstylist and makeup artist. In 2001, I founded Team Indulge, bringing together a team of beauty professionals to work on photoshoots, fashion shows, film sets, and other creative productions. This experience gave me an understanding of the entertainment industry from behind the scenes before I began developing my own career in front of the camera. Working with established talent and creative teams taught me the importance of preparation, professionalism, and understanding the vision behind every production.

Over time, I transitioned into modeling and established an international presence through my work with Playboy. Throughout my career, I have appeared on ten international Playboy covers across seven countries, along with other editorial features and magazine covers, including Lowrider Magazine and StripLV. My work has also included an editorial feature with National Geographic and television appearances, including Telemundo’s *Un Nuevo Día*. Each opportunity has allowed me to connect with different audiences and explore new creative directions.

Beyond modeling, I have continued to expand my work in entertainment. My acting credits include *Blood Rush*, in which I play Soiled Dove Dolores, and *Anathema*, where I portray Susan Wilbanks. Exploring acting has allowed me to approach my work from a different perspective, develop new skills, and challenge myself creatively. I enjoy the opportunity to move between different forms of expression rather than remain confined to a single industry.

Entrepreneurship has also been an important part of my journey. I have worked on brand partnerships, spokesperson campaigns, editorial projects, and collaborations across fashion, beauty, hospitality, and lifestyle. Being bilingual in English and Spanish allows me to connect with diverse audiences, particularly within the Latina community, which I believe deserves greater representation and recognition across mainstream media and luxury markets.

What sets me apart is the combination of experiences I bring to every project. I understand the creative process from multiple perspectives: as a beauty professional, a model, an actress, and a businesswoman. Having worked both behind and in front of the camera, I appreciate the teamwork, discipline, and vision required to bring an idea to life. I also understand that building a lasting career requires adaptability and a willingness to keep learning.

I am particularly proud of the longevity of my career and the opportunities I have created by continuing to evolve. The entertainment and fashion industries are constantly changing, and I have learned the importance of embracing new challenges while remaining authentic to who I am. For me, success is not simply about being featured in a publication or participating in a campaign; it is about continuing to grow, creating meaningful professional relationships, and building a career that reflects my interests, values, and ambitions.

Today, I continue to explore opportunities in modeling, acting, fashion, and brand partnerships while developing my entrepreneurial vision. I am excited about what lies ahead and remain committed to expanding my creative portfolio, collaborating with people who share my vision, and representing the many dimensions of a woman who refuses to be defined by just one title.

How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
I am always interested in connecting with brands, creatives, and businesses that share a vision for meaningful collaborations and high-quality creative work. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to collaborate across fashion, beauty, entertainment, hospitality, and lifestyle, and I am excited to continue building relationships that allow everyone involved to grow and create something meaningful.

There are several ways to work with me, including brand partnerships, modeling campaigns, editorial features, spokesperson opportunities, acting projects, fashion productions, and event appearances. I am particularly interested in collaborating with brands that value creativity, authenticity, and a strong understanding of their audience. As a bilingual professional, I also enjoy opportunities that connect English- and Spanish-speaking audiences and create greater visibility for the Latina community.

For fellow creatives, photographers, designers, filmmakers, and entrepreneurs, I believe some of the best opportunities come from building genuine professional relationships, exchanging ideas, and supporting one another’s work. I am always open to exploring projects that align with my professional goals and allow me to bring my experience and creative perspective to the table.
