Hi Erika, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started this journey of one of a kind jewelry in August 2020, I named my business Jake accessories.. The name came about each initial that stands for each one of my children. Jay for Jocelyn a for Abigail E for Emily and K for Kane.. the journey of making one of a kind jewelry put me through ups and downs, but meeting wonderful people and getting to know the power that I have within me and the creativity I have, I was able to connect with beautiful souls souls. An engage in a community of entrepreneurs that love and half passion for each other.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Some of the obstacles I would say that I had during the beginning of me making jewelry was not knowing what kind of materials to use how to price my jewelry and where to start off vending my jewelry.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am known for being creative, creating one of a kind and never duplicating or replicating a style.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
My mentors and the people that have cheer for me are my family my kids, my husband, and definitely people that I have met through the Instagram. I will mention another creator. She is a hat artist and she makes a stickers as well. Her name is well she goes by the name of Left Brain creative mama and she always gave me a thumbs up and was one of the first person to actually greet me during a pop-up and welcoming me to the creative world .
