Meet Telman Eminli of France,Lyon

Today we’d like to introduce you to Telman Eminli.

Hi Telman, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hello, my name is Talman, and I’m 32 years old. I started tattooing in 2020. Even before becoming a tattoo artist, drawing had always been a big part of my life. I was constantly drawing and exploring different forms of visual art.

At some point, I started thinking about how I could take my work and creativity in a different direction. I wanted to turn my art into something permanent. To me, creating art on the human body is something very special—the artwork becomes a permanent part of that person and leaves a lasting mark on their life. That idea is what ultimately led me into the tattoo industry.

I spent my first two years learning, gaining experience, and developing my skills as an amateur. For the past four years, I have been working professionally as a tattoo artist.

I previously lived in Bursa, Turkey, where I was building my career. Two years ago, I moved to Lyon, France, and decided to continue my career here.

My work mainly focuses on black-and-grey realism. I participate in international tattoo competitions and have won several awards for my work. Despite these achievements, I continue to challenge myself and develop my skills. I believe that in this industry, you can never really say, “I’ve made it.” There is always something new to learn, something to improve, and another level to reach.

Looking ahead, I want to continue developing both myself and my art, take part in more international projects, and achieve even greater milestones in my career.

For me, tattooing is more than just a profession; it is a way to express myself, connect with people, and leave something meaningful behind. Every new piece represents a new story and an opportunity to push myself further as an artist. I’m excited to see where this journey takes me, but one thing I know for sure is that I will continue creating, learning, and pushing my limits.

It has been a pleasure sharing my story with you. Thank you for taking the time to get to know me and my journey.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Of course, there were challenges, but you should never give up

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
What I’m most proud of in my work is that, over time, I’ve been able to develop my own style and artistic identity. Since the day I started, I’ve continuously pushed myself to improve, and seeing my work recognized with awards at international tattoo competitions means a lot to me.

But for me, success is not only about the awards I’ve won. Knowing that a tattoo I create can hold a special meaning in someone’s life, and creating a piece of art that will stay with them for years, is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do. With every new piece, I try to go beyond what I’ve done before. I think what I’m most proud of is that I still have the same passion for this art as I did when I first started.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
As a child, I often felt a little different from the other kids around me. I didn’t feel like they saw or thought about things in the same way I did. It felt as though I had started questioning certain things and looking at the world from a different perspective earlier than most people my age. Because of that, I enjoyed spending time in my own world, thinking and drawing. Looking back, I believe that was when the foundation of my connection with art first began to take shape.
