Conversations with Kilo Angeleno

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kilo Angeleno.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started performing ever since I can remember. Probably 6 years old. I started singing and dancing. I was that kid they made perform at family parties.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Lots of turmoil- death, illness, grief, financial, etc. Almost everything has happened to me; lots of perspective for young age.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a singer/songwriter and entertainer. I’m known for my smooth but rugged delivery in both English and Spanish. I’m most proud of performing at Cali Bash in 2024 and Grammy/Billboard invitations. I’m an Ecuadorian American which is very rare in the Latin Urban space.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
Some of the most valuable lessons in life have been due to risk-taking. Investing in yourself and being in this business is a risk on its on because very few make it in this business. It’s about betting on yourself and doing the music camps in a whole other country you know no one in. It’s about going to the Latin Billboards by yourself only to meet Noah Assad and network with other music execs. It’s about being willing to create valuable relationships within the industry even though in the end it may not turn out to be what you meant for it to be. It’s about knocking on doors in another state only for it to be closed in front of your face. I can go on and on.
