Today we’d like to introduce you to Patrick Henry Johnson.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I was the low man on the totem pole at an international mural company that specializes in old masters reproductions. I learned from great Russian painters who were classically trained.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The struggles have been the greatest part of the journey! Finding funding for projects, creating projects that I love to do.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I paint large scale murals for public and private clients. I also create works for gallery and museums exhibitions. I am most proud that I sold two paintings to LeBron James on my mothers 86th birthday, and the crowd in attendance sung happy birthday to her.
I have worked diligently at becoming myself and I am enjoying every moment of it.
What makes you happy?
Its not just one thing, however I will say, when my children from out of town call me to say hello, or when I am painting and get lost in time. When I have receive a new idea from a dream and I start to implement the idea. That is exciting!
