Check Out Viktoriya Adamovskaya’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Viktoriya Adamovskaya.

Hi Viktoriya, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I was born and raised in Siberia, Russia, and creativity has always been an important part of my life. I started studying music at a young age and graduated from music school with a focus on piano. Over ten years ago, I also discovered my passion for pastry arts, which eventually grew into a professional career.

In 2021, I moved to California, where I had to start almost everything from scratch. Despite the challenges of adapting to a new country, this experience opened the door to new opportunities.

Today, I teach piano, run my dessert brand Delicious by VA, create handmade resin art through Resin by VA, and design digital products for my Etsy shop, Cozy by VA. I’m also working on creative projects, including a children’s coloring storybook about music, self-confidence, and believing in yourself.

Although my projects may seem very different, they all share one thing in common: my love for creativity and my desire to create beautiful things, inspire others, and bring joy into people’s lives.

Moving to a new country has taught me independence, adaptability, and the courage to try new things. I truly believe that the most exciting chapters of my story are still ahead.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, my journey has definitely not been an easy one. One of the biggest challenges was moving to a new country, far away from my family, friends, and everything familiar. I had to adapt to a new language, culture, and way of life while trying to build my career almost entirely from scratch.

Another major challenge has been balancing multiple creative businesses. When you run your own projects, you have to be an artist, entrepreneur, marketer, and manager all at once. It requires a tremendous amount of time, energy, and patience.

There have been moments of uncertainty, exhaustion, and disappointment, but every challenge has taught me something valuable.

Over time, I’ve learned that success isn’t about having a journey without obstacles. It’s about finding the strength to keep moving forward, even when things don’t go as planned.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My professional work brings together several creative fields, including music, pastry arts, handmade creations, and digital design.

As a piano teacher, I help children and adults discover the beauty of music, develop their creativity, and build confidence in themselves.

Through my brand, Delicious by VA, I create handcrafted desserts, including vegan options, with a strong focus on both flavor and aesthetics. My brand Resin by VA specializes in unique handmade resin art, while Cozy by VA focuses on digital products, including creative worksheets, planners, and educational music materials.

One of my proudest accomplishments is building multiple creative businesses from the ground up in a new country. Another meaningful milestone has been creating my own children’s coloring storybook about music, self-confidence, and believing in yourself.

What sets me apart is my ability to combine different forms of art and creativity. I believe that every creation should be more than just a beautiful product. It should tell a story, reflect attention to detail, and bring joy and positive emotions to the people who experience it.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I believe that luck plays a role in everyone’s life, but I believe even more in perseverance, hard work, and the ability to recognize opportunities.

Throughout my journey, I’ve experienced both fortunate coincidences and unexpected challenges. Sometimes doors opened when I least expected them to, while other times even my most carefully made plans didn’t work out.

Moving to the United States taught me that we can’t control everything in life. However, I’ve learned that even setbacks can lead to new opportunities if we’re willing to adapt, change direction, and try again.

I believe that luck tends to favor those who keep moving forward. So instead of waiting for the perfect moment, I prefer to create my own opportunities.

And perhaps the greatest gift of luck in my life is my ability to find inspiration and new ideas, even during the most challenging times.
