Rising Stars: Meet Jillian Jordyn of LA

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jillian Jordyn.

Hi Jillian , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I am a singer and actress from Long Island, NY! I started singing as soon as I could speak and just fell in love with it. When I was 12 I transitioned into the professional space. I sang the halftime show at a NY Knicks game in 2017. In 2019 I booked my first professional acting gig as a recurring role on Law and Order SVU. Since then I starred in a new movie called The Floaters, coming to Apple TV November 10th. I am working on some new music and will be releasing a new single within the coming months!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There definitely has been some ups and downs, but thankfully I have an amazing support system by my side. This is an industry of “no”. Unfortunately, you get told no more than you get told yes. Failure is just another reason to try harder!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a singer and actress. I was on season 22 of The Voice. I also have a movie called The Floaters coming to Apple TV November 10th. I am definitely most proud of my work in The Floaters. That was my first movie ever and I love the way it came out. I think what sets me apart is I am uniquely myself. I am not afraid to be me and show the world my fun outgoing side!

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
I’m not sure! I’m pretty much an open book!
