Today we’d like to introduce you to Parisa Bazgir Farhadi.
Parisa, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
For more than 25 years, storytelling has been more than my profession. It has been my passion, my voice, and one of the most meaningful parts of my life.
I came to the United States from Iran when I was just 20 years old, carrying dreams, curiosity, and a determination to build a meaningful future. At that age, I could never have imagined how many extraordinary people I would meet, how many places I would discover, or how far journalism would take me.
My professional journey eventually led me to international media organizations, including Voice of America, Iran International, Al Jazeera, and CNBC. I spent nearly two decades working with Voice of America and several years with Iran International, building a career as a journalist, news anchor, correspondent, and television host.
I spent 16 wonderful years living in Washington, D.C., before moving to Los Angeles in 2019, where I began an exciting new chapter of my life, filled with fresh opportunities and new experiences.
One of the greatest gifts of my career has been the opportunity to travel. I have explored different corners of the world and traveled through almost every part of the United States. Every destination introduced me to new people, cultures, perspectives, and stories. Those experiences taught me that the world is far more fascinating when we take the time to listen to one another.
Journalism gave me something I consider priceless: the ability to see life through different eyes.
One of the proudest moments of my professional journey came when I received an official Certificate of Appreciation from the City of Los Angeles in recognition of my leadership and contributions to the community. For someone who arrived in America at 20 with dreams and determination, being recognized by the city I now call home was deeply meaningful.
But behind my professional achievements is also the story of an Iranian woman who has lived away from her homeland for more than 27 years.
Although I have traveled to so many places around the world, there is one destination I still dream of returning to: Iran.
Not having the freedom to return to my homeland, walk through its streets, and reconnect with the places that shaped my childhood is one of the most emotional parts of my journey. Yet I have never allowed that longing to overshadow my gratitude for the life I have built or the opportunities ahead of me. Today, I proudly consider America my homeland as well, and I deeply love this country that has become such an important part of who I am.
I have always believed that life is about growth, reinvention, and finding new ways to express who we are.
That philosophy inspired me to establish Third Eye Media Inc., my own media and production company, where I bring together journalism, creative storytelling, public relations, digital marketing, and professional content production.
Today, I am based in Los Angeles, working as an independent journalist, producer, media entrepreneur, and lifestyle content creator.
Through my YouTube channel, Parisa Farhadi Media, I continue exploring new forms of storytelling, including my lifestyle program, Etiquette with Parisa Farhadi. The program celebrates people, culture, fashion, beauty, entrepreneurship, and the inspiring stories behind businesses and individuals.
After spending so many years covering major events and telling the stories of others, I now enjoy creating content that also celebrates the beauty of everyday life, creativity, ambition, and human connection.
Looking back, I see my life as a journey filled with discovery, meaningful encounters, and continuous transformation.
I arrived in America as a young woman with dreams. Today, I am grateful to have built a career that has allowed me to travel, learn, connect with extraordinary people, and create my own media platform.
And perhaps the most exciting part is that, after more than 25 years in journalism, I still feel that I am just getting started.
I believe that no matter where life takes us, we should never stop dreaming, learning, or reinventing ourselves.
Because success, to me, is not simply about where we arrive. It is about the person we become along the way.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My journey has certainly not been an easy one, but I believe some of life’s most difficult experiences can also become our greatest teachers.
I moved to the United States alone when I was just 20 years old. My family had not yet immigrated, so I had to learn very quickly how to become independent, make my own decisions, and build a life in a completely new country.
Just one year later, I faced an unexpected and life changing challenge. I developed meningitis and began struggling with autoimmune illness. At an age when most young people are discovering life and enjoying their independence, I was learning how to navigate serious health challenges while living far away from my family.
Over the years, I built a demanding career in journalism that involved long working hours, constant responsibilities, and extensive travel. I traveled across the United States and around the world, often balancing professional commitments with the ongoing responsibility of taking care of my physical and emotional well being.
As an independent woman, I had to learn how to be strong for myself, even during moments when I felt exhausted or vulnerable.
One of my greatest challenges has been finding a balance between ambition and self care. I love my work, I love traveling, and I love experiencing life. But living with chronic health challenges has taught me that taking care of my body, mind, and spirit is just as important as pursuing my professional dreams.
That balance has not always been easy, and even today, it remains something I consciously work toward.
Over time, I have learned to appreciate the quieter moments of life, to listen to my body, and to understand that strength does not always mean pushing harder. Sometimes, strength means knowing when to rest, when to slow down, and when to put yourself first.
My experiences have also made me more compassionate toward others. I have come to understand that behind every successful person, there may be struggles the world knows nothing about.
I don’t see myself as someone who has overcome every challenge. I see myself as a woman who continues to learn, grow, and move forward despite them.
I am proud of the career I have built, but I am equally proud of the woman I have become along the way.
If there is one thing my journey has taught me, it is that true success is not only about what we accomplish in the world, but also about how we care for ourselves while accomplishing it.
As you know, we’re big fans of Third Eye Media Inc. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Third Eye Media Inc. is a Los Angeles based media production, public relations, and creative marketing company that I founded after more than 25 years of working as a journalist, television news anchor, and correspondent.
Throughout my career, I have worked with major international media organizations, including Voice of America and Iran International. Those experiences taught me that every person, business, and brand has a unique story worth telling.
That belief became the foundation of Third Eye Media.
We specialize in video production, interviews, documentary storytelling, public relations, social media marketing, and creative brand development. We help businesses and individuals communicate their stories in a way that feels authentic, engaging, and memorable.
What sets us apart is our journalistic approach. Rather than simply creating advertisements, I look for the human story behind every business, the passion, the challenges, the people, and the dreams that make it special.
I also produce and host lifestyle and interview content through my YouTube platform, Parisa Farhadi Media, where I explore fascinating people, inspiring entrepreneurs, culture, beauty, and lifestyle.
One of my proudest accomplishments is building my own company as an independent woman while continuing to pursue my passion for journalism and storytelling.
For me, Third Eye Media is more than a business. It represents creativity, independence, and the belief that meaningful stories can connect people across cultures and communities.
My goal is to continue growing Third Eye Media into a creative platform that celebrates inspiring people, supports businesses, and brings authentic stories to audiences around the world.
How do you think about luck?
I believe luck plays a role in everyone’s life, but I also believe that faith, courage, gratitude, and the energy we bring into the world shape our journey.
Looking back, I feel incredibly fortunate to have come to the United States at the age of 20 and to have built a life in a country that I now proudly consider my home.
Throughout my life, I have been blessed with extraordinary experiences, beautiful encounters, and opportunities to travel the world and meet people from different cultures and walks of life.
Of course, life has not always been easy. I have experienced unexpected challenges, painful moments, and doors closing when I least expected them to. But I have never stopped believing that even the most difficult experiences can carry a hidden blessing.
My faith in God and my trust in the Universe have always been my greatest sources of strength. I believe that everything happens for a reason, even when we cannot understand that reason at the time.
I have learned that sometimes rejection is protection, delays are blessings in disguise, and what we call bad luck may simply be life redirecting us toward something better.
Today, I try to live with an open heart, gratitude, and trust in divine timing. I believe the energy we give to the world eventually finds its way back to us.
To me, true luck is not about having a perfect life. It is about recognizing the blessings along the way, trusting God’s plan, and never losing faith that something beautiful is still waiting around the corner.
