Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Klapia.
Hi Jasmine, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey has never been limited to one title or one profession. I have always been curious about people, human behavior, creativity, and what makes life meaningful. That curiosity led me to study Psychology at California State University, Northridge, and Addiction Studies at Pierce College, and eventually to become a certified life coach.
Over the years, my interests have expanded into entrepreneurship, writing, product development, design, and creative projects. Although these may appear to be different fields, I see a common thread connecting them: the desire to understand people, encourage awareness, and make a positive difference in their lives.
Through my entrepreneurial ventures, including JK Skin Fashion® and Respectfully Sexy®, I have explored how beauty and creativity can become vehicles for something more meaningful. My Message Through The Bottle® project brings that vision closer to my commitment to mental-health awareness and the importance of creating spaces where people can connect through honest conversations.
I am also developing ideas around human behavior and the way we experience life, including a concept I call *The Invisible Balloon Theory*. It represents an area I hope to explore further in collaboration with mental-health professionals, bringing together curiosity, personal insight, and professional perspectives.
My path has included transitions, challenges, and periods of reassessment. Those experiences have taught me that growth is not always a straight line, and sometimes what appears to be a detour allows us to see things differently.
Today, I see myself as a lifelong learner, a writer, a designer, an entrepreneur, and a humanist. I don’t believe I have to choose just one identity when all these parts of me can contribute to a larger purpose: raising consciousness through healing, encouraging people to see life from different perspectives, and finding beauty and possibility even in difficult moments.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it certainly hasn’t been a smooth road. Like many people, I have experienced challenges, transitions, and moments when I had to step back, reassess my direction, and find the strength to keep moving forward.
One of the challenges has been pursuing ideas that don’t always fit neatly into one category. My interests span psychology, human behavior, entrepreneurship, creativity, and mental-health awareness. Bringing these different parts together into something meaningful has required patience, persistence, and a willingness to keep learning, even when the path ahead wasn’t clear.
Another challenge has been finding the right people to connect and collaborate with, particularly when it comes to exploring ideas that I believe have the potential to make a difference. Having a vision is one thing; finding the right support, resources, and opportunities to develop it is another.
There have also been times when personal and professional circumstances required me to step away from things I cared about and reconsider how to move forward. Those experiences weren’t always easy, but they taught me that progress doesn’t always happen on the timeline we expect.
I’ve learned that perseverance isn’t necessarily about pushing forward at all costs. Sometimes it’s about taking a step back, gaining a different perspective, and having the courage to begin again. I still have goals I want to accomplish and ideas I hope to bring to life, but I no longer see the journey as something that has to follow a straight line.
I believe that some of our most valuable lessons come from the very experiences we wish we could have avoided. They can deepen our empathy, challenge our assumptions, and help us understand others in ways we might not have otherwise. For me, the important thing is to remain curious, keep learning, and not allow difficult chapters to determine how the story ends.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I have never been someone who fits comfortably into just one box. My work reflects a combination of interests and talents that might seem unrelated at first, but to me, they are all forms of creative expression and problem-solving.
I am a life coach, entrepreneur, writer, and designer, with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and an Associate degree in Addiction Studies. My education, combined with my diverse creative and entrepreneurial interests, has shaped my curiosity about human behavior, the challenges people face, and the importance of empathy. I enjoy exploring ideas, recognizing connections, and looking at familiar things from a different perspective.
My entrepreneurial work includes beauty and fragrance projects, but I have also developed creative concepts, written stories that carry life lessons, and explored ways to use conversation and storytelling to encourage deeper reflection. I am particularly interested in the relationship between how we think, how we experience life, and how we understand ourselves and others.
One concept I am passionate about developing further is *The Invisible Balloon Theory*. I hope to explore it in collaboration with mental-health professionals, bringing together different perspectives to examine ideas that could contribute to a broader understanding of human experience.
What sets me apart is perhaps my willingness to cross boundaries between disciplines rather than see them as separate. I don’t approach creativity, entrepreneurship, and human well-being as isolated subjects. I enjoy asking questions, challenging assumptions, and exploring connections that others might overlook.
What I am most proud of is the body of ideas I have continued to develop across different fields. Not every idea has reached its full potential yet, and I recognize that bringing a vision to life takes more than imagination. It also takes the right partnerships, practical work, and persistence. But I value the courage to create something new and the willingness to keep learning along the way.
Ultimately, I want my work to leave room for curiosity, encourage people to see things differently, and turn creative ideas into something meaningful. I believe that sometimes a small shift in perspective can open the door to possibilities we hadn’t considered before.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters most to me is human well-being and our ability to understand ourselves and one another a little better. I believe that so much of the suffering people experience is connected to things they may not yet understand about themselves, their circumstances, or the way they see the world. Sometimes, having the opportunity to look at something differently can be the beginning of meaningful change.
Empathy is important to me, but I also believe that empathy becomes more powerful when it is accompanied by curiosity, awareness, and a willingness to listen without immediately judging or assuming we know someone else’s story. We never truly know everything another person is carrying.
I also value creativity, freedom of thought, and the courage to question familiar ideas. I don’t believe there is only one way to approach life or solve a problem. We all have different experiences and perspectives, and I think there is so much we can learn when we are willing to explore them together.
Ultimately, I want what I create and contribute to have meaning beyond myself. Whether through conversation, writing, entrepreneurship, or an idea that encourages someone to see things differently, I hope to contribute to greater awareness and a more compassionate understanding of the human experience.
For me, it comes down to this: helping people discover possibilities they may not have recognized before, reminding them that they are not alone, and finding beauty and meaning even in the most challenging parts of life.
