Hi Claudia, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Claudia is an EMMY Nominated bilingual TV Host, Producer, Writer & Model that has managed with her particular cocktail of fun & freshness to seduce international audiences and become a TV personality with her own stamp of distinction and use her well-known name in the industry to become a ‘Holistic’ entrepreneur in Sustainability & Eco-Life style under her brand ‘Pretty In Green’.

Native of the Canary Islands Claudia started her modeling career at the early age of 15 , she takes off to commence her successful career as a fashion model by the hand of IMG models, which led her to live & work around the world in the main cities of Fashion such as New York, London, Milan or Tokyo working for prestigious publications such as “Marie Claire”, “Cosmopolitan”, “Conde Nast” “GQ”,”FHM”, “Wallpaper” or “ELLE” . As a catwalk model she enjoyed working for renowned High-Couture designers such as “Armani”,”Jean Paul Gaultier”, ”GianFranco Ferre” or “Alberta Ferretti” among others , and appearing in Campaigns such as “DIESEL” ( David Lachapelle), “L’OREAL , AVON, WELLA , GARNIER and other multiple high-profile brands internationally.

Meanwhile MTV EUROPE in London did not doubt Claudia’s communicative talent and offered
her an exclusive contract Internationally to become their New Face MTV VJ.
Fashion & MTV proved the perfect combo to Launch Claudia’s career to the next level.

Claudia became in a short period of time a very popular and acclaimed face in the Media.She was the only MTV VJ/ Host to date , to run more than 4 TV shows, in multiple countries and languages at the same time : from the acclaimed “TRL Live / “SELECT MTV” to the international fashion cult show “STYLISSIMO” to presenting the red carpets of the ‘VMA’s” and EMA’s’.

In 2006 to further develop her TV career Claudia moves permanently to the USA, and starts working for big Broadcast TV companies like DIRECTV where she hosted & co-produced the acclaimed weekly entertainment show ‘ACCESS’ OnDIRECTV as well as being the Voice talent of the Channel for DIRECTV Latinamerica until today. Among other highlights she has been nominated for an EMMY AWARD for her work in the SBS / MEGA TV acclaimed Docu-series ‘ 22 minutos’.

Claudia also collaborates with several other TV Networks and Digital Platforms Nationally and Internationally in Content Production and Hosting like, YAHOO! ENTERTAINMENT, WARNER TV, PARAMOUNT CHANNEL , HOLA! TV, FIFA , etc. She is a staple at Hollywood’s Red carpets and renowned for her Celebrity Interviews , covering the most prestigious events like the OSCARs ,EMMYS ,SAG AWARDS, SUNDANCE & TRIBECA Film Festivals as well as the most significant Sporting Events for DIRECTV Sports.

From Al Pacino to Reese Witherspoon and from Lady Gaga to the Red Hot Chili Peppers she navigates Hollywood Naturally and interacts with the Celebrities of the moment in a witty and unique way.

Claudia resides between Los Angeles and Miami where she juggles multiple projects and where she merges her knowledge of Health & Wellness and Sustainability with Production.
She graduated in Science of Plant-based Nutrition and Environmental Science at Cornell.

FUN FACTS: Together with Actor husband Michel Francoeur they’ve created and open ‘MAKE OUT’ a Plant-based Cafe Concept in L.A , and they’re Building an Eco-Holistic Retreat in her beloved Canary Islands.

She recently made her first Film appearance co-staring in the Indie Spanish Drama Movie ‘WAX’ a Surfing Love story out of the Canary Islands.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
..plenty of challenges to overcome… leaving home, a small Spanish island in the Atlantic, at such a young age to pursue your dreams is never a small task, LOL. Passion, perseverance, Focus and every small achievement keeps you going… one day at a time but keeping an eye on the long road ahead , to shape your future… joggling different countries , Cultures and ways of working… gives you the kind of ‘smart’, to navigate multiple situations ,contracts , languages… It becomes a natural dance… the struggles are an intrinsic part of the journey and teaches you as much as the success…
Learning about Buddhist philosophy during my teens and working in far away places like Japan at mearly 17 gives you a depth and an understanding that you are paving your own road and its up to oneself to make Magic with the opportunity given… sort of an Alchemist!

In regards to my profession, I feel so fortunate that, since I was a teenager that I started my career through Modeling, work it’s been one of my passions.
I was able to pursue dreams and ambitions, to travel the world, discover far away Lands and live among other cultures. So at the end that will resume what as a Little girl I was mesmerized by while reading books and watching movies. My field of work has shape in a way, the adult that I’m and has given me opportunities to discover the world and meet people unimaginable and incredible, making me truly feel like a citizen of the world, and that is beautiful, specially in these moments that we need to be more united and empathic with each other than ever…and create a joint conscience about the sustainability of the Planet. Through Television on the other hand, after I transitioned from modeling into hosting, I found my voice. I truly found the perfect fit! I always say That as much as I love fashion and being a Model it always felt limited being a model, from the creative point of view, Is a Mute media for a model, where everybody else is creating you but You. For me TV was like transitioning from Silent films to Sound Films… especially when you are a chatty, cheerful, full of thoughts young woman ready to share and collaborate!
In a way I’m still that girl!
In TV I have always work in Culture and Entertainment ( and managed to stay away from gossip shows) first came the Music with MTV Networks and then came Movies and Hollywood with my DIRECTV Access show , Paramount Channel, etc.when I moved to L.A in 2005. You could see me almost every other day on a Hollywood red carpet covering the latest Movie Premier or at a Film Junket interviewing the Film celebrities … covering the major Entertaiment events, Film Festivals, Award shows, etc
.
Proud Of: …For sure finding Love and a partner in crime is at the top of the Life achievements! As well as finding a calling on how you want to live your life, to get that clarity and let go of what the Ego wants mostly could be very difficult in our industry surroundings, especially in Hollywood. Building a home from scratch in LA and opening and creating the Plant-based Café concept in LA with hubby, and now building a Creative wellness Residence in the Canary Islands ‘Casa Cocoon’.

Being able to work in multiple languages on international TV channels and platforms around the world, Being Nominated to the Emmy on my first show in the US ’22 minutes’… Having lived in a bunch of incredible Cities of the world like Tokyo, NY, London, Madrid, Milan, LA, Miami, Barcelona… Travelled to all continents. Having worked and met in the 90’s an incredible bunch of Top Designers, Magazines, photographers, Fashion was truly something in the 90’s I feel grateful to have experienced that decade! Interviewed one on one fascinating Talents… over the past 25 years from the Music, Film, Sports and Art world. And I guess an unexpected achievement that people won’t mostly know is that I have a Science of Plant-based Nutrition Diploma from Cornell University.

I guess what set me apart since a young age was my fearlessness and the Honest joy & curiosity to see the world, the capacity of adaptation , mostly to try to understand this world existence…
All that translates later on professionally , when you seat infront of a Celebrity to interview , in an inner intuitive knowledge to be able to carry an original Interview versus a cookie cutter one:

Anecdotally , everytime I seat to interview someone that you both have never met, there is the unease question that they request ‘ what are you going to ask me?’ which I always answer : I’m not going to Ask you , we are going to converse , like a chat between friends! that automatically made the interviewee confortable and open to have a good time and set the Interview apart from others…

Fashion modeling was a perfect vessel to take me around discovering the world in a beautiful way…then transitioning to TV was the exiting opportunity that gave me a voice… People will normally call me Lucky! but I do believe we create our own ‘Lucky energy’. Don’t get me wrong, I do feel fortunate to have had a happy foundation and childhood and values that ,mostly my Mother, gave me… that allowed me to have the strength and passion to fly from the nest…

How do you define success?
Success is such a whimsical word… there is so many kinds of Success… for me to be able to keep doing what I love in this existence with the people I love, being healthy, experimenting without fear ,having no regrets, understanding who you are and what nourishes you… To be able to help, educate and create awareness, somehow, even if is just one person that saw you or worked with you and you touched them in any way to make their life a little bit better… no matter whether is a TV show, a personal enterprise like opening a Plant-Based Café in LA or building an Eco-retreat in the Island… that makes me feel successful…
