Meet Luisa Lucia of The Starlight Mystic, LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Luisa Lucia.

Hi Luisa, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’m a certified life coach who specializes in Human Design and the Gene Keys. It was a very windy road that brought me to this place. I studied physics as an undergrad in college before moving to LA in my early 20’s to pursue a career as a fashion stylist. I was always both creative and logical, and my gifts come alive at exactly this intersection. At the age of 30, I experienced an unplanned pregnancy that catalyzed a major ego death and career shift. It was around this time that I discovered Human Design and got certified as a Dharma Coach. It’s funny to watch life come full circle in unexpected ways, as several years ago I was offered a book deal to write a book on the theoretical science of Human Design. That book, The Language of the Stars, challenged me to dig deep into my training as a physicist in order to offer a beautiful synthesis of science and mysticism. It’s coming out next month on 11/11/2026 and explores our earthly purpose in relation to the cosmos at large.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The journey has definitely not been smooth. I think when you set out to live your purpose and accomplish big things there are inevitably challenges along the way. You can’t really assume a position of leadership or influence without facing your own shadows and the myriad ways those shadows manifest in your life. My upcoming book for example has highlighted a massive fear of exposure and judgment. I always knew I would write books one day – from the time I was very young. And now that it’s finally happening I’m both excited and terrified. This is just one example but there are really so many. And the whole thing about leadership is no one trusts a leader who’s had it easy all their life. I’m a better mentor because of all the adversity I’ve had to face. You can’t coach what you don’t know… so how can you help people overcome challenges when you haven’t been there done that.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I offer Human Design readings, longterm mentorship, and small group trainings to help people align with and embody their highest selves. I focus on soul purpose and empowerment. It’s really important to me that clients are clear on who they are, why they’re here, and how to live their best lives for the benefit of themselves and others. What makes my approach different is the way I understand systems like Human Design and the Gene Keys as not simply metaphorical but deeply connected to our existential process. I break this down in detail in my upcoming book, The Language of the Stars, which is probably one of the accomplishments I’m most proud of to date.
