Today we’d like to introduce you to America Hill.

Hi America, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I was going through a very rough divorce and was dealing with trauma due to abuse from an ex husband.

While I was seeing a psychologist I was venting to him about my personal drama. He was laughing his ass off and said “ don’t take this the wrong way but have you ever thought of doing stand up comedy ? I replied no not at all. With all due respect can we please focus on my trauma . He said yes but think about it. You’re very animated, and a lot of people can relate to this . So I did my very first open mic in 2017 but didn’t take it seriously until 2018. Fast forward to 2026 I am now headlining and love what I do

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Fuck no it hasn’t !

Money , no support from family , I was bullied from family and I was homeless for 1.5 years.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a comedian/ singer, actress , and model.

What sets me apart from others is I have very very dark, intelligent and sick / dirty and clean humor. I also sing and my voice is very similar to Cher.

I am very unique and different. I don’t fully talk about politics. Yes, I only have 2 political jokes but they’re very intelligent and clever.

I like to talk about life , experiences, relationships, work, being a female , economy, and so on.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
The advice I would give is take a comedy class. Go and observe the pros at a comedy show and watch them.

Be nice to everyone on your way up because you’re going to need them on your way down. Don’t be a fucking asshole, don’t run the light, don’t talk shit about other comics.
