Today we’d like to introduce you to Samantha Lubrano.

Hi Samantha, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I have been obsessed with fashion since I was 9 years old and that has always just traveled with me no matter where I was at in my life. I gained a sizable following pretty much the moment I got social media in 2012 and it just continued to grow. in 2024 I made the decision to finally start my own brand. It just felt like the right time and I am so happy I went for it!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been a smooth road. I own Neverwhere with my sister Steviemarie and we had to learn a whole new relationship. So for a few months there it was a rocky road but I think we have it down now. I also learned the very hard way that not everyone in your life will be happy for your success. But that’s okay because I cherish the ones that do.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Neverwhere?
Neverwhere is a clothing brand based in NEW YORK that specializes in a darker aesthetic and we go up to a 4X. We operate on a drop based system. We create limited designs for a limited amount of time before we lock the website again to work on a new collection.
Our Gabrielle Mini went viral during our first drop. It is a black on black harlequin patterned Mini dress with a pointed hem. That was a super cool moment.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I sketch every single piece and then I have my best friend Nova Stardust refine the sketches. She is an incredible artist and I love how she interprets the designs! So there is always a horrible sketch of the design and then a beautiful one done by her.
