Today we’d like to introduce you to Cessly (SucCessly) Bartlett.
Hi Cessly (SucCessly), thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My story with powersports began about 25 years ago with a simple idea: families should be able to enjoy riding together without spending a fortune to find out whether it was right for them. My former husband and I had a big family, and we saw how much fun parents and children could have outdoors. We also saw parents invest in an expensive name-brand bike or ATV, only to have it sit in the garage when their child lost interest. We wanted to offer an affordable starting point for families and new riders.
After our divorce, I stepped away from the business for about ten years, but I never lost my love for what a ride can bring to a family or a community. I still had the experience, the vision, and my J💜Y. Eventually, two of my four sons and I started L7 MotorSports. We spent six years serving riders in San Bernardino, and today we’re in Santa Ana, bringing that same spirit to Orange County.
L7 is an entry point for people who are just discovering riding and a way back in for those ready to ride again. Seeing this vision come to life with my sons means so much to me. Through every chapter, J💜Y has been my foundation, and sharing that joy with other families is still what drives me.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road. I’ve learned that the road in business, just like in life, is full of variables. What helps me stay steady is how I process what’s in front of me: I remember what we’ve already overcome, recognize what we’ve accomplished, and keep sight of the future we’re building.
One of our biggest challenges was the decision to move L7 MotorSports to Orange County. We sold our properties in San Bernardino and took on the added expense of renting in Santa Ana. When your livelihood depends on your business, that kind of move brings real financial fear. I don’t pretend it disappears. I walk it out daily, lean on my team and our experience, and draw wisdom from people who paved the way before us.
I want the legacy we build to show others what is possible when you prepare, believe, and know when to pivot. Sometimes growth means moving forward; sometimes it means standing firm. J💜Y is my secret power through both. It gives me an inner strength that stays with me, whatever the circumstances.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about L7 MotorSports?
L7 MotorSports is for everyday people who want transportation, family recreation, adventure, and the freedom to ride at an affordable price. We offer on-road and off-road options, including motorcycles, scooters, dirt bikes, ATVs, go-karts, golf carts, e-bikes, and electric motorcycles. We’re especially proud to be an entry point for beginning riders and a welcoming place for people getting back into riding after years away.
What sets us apart is how we connect with our riders. We ask how they plan to use their vehicle, listen to what matters to them, and share our product knowledge so they can make a choice that fits their life and budget. That might be a young family looking for outdoor fun, someone who needs a practical way to get around, or a rider ready for a new adventure. We meet each person where they are.
I’m most proud that we’ve built a brand around people, not just products. Whether someone walks into our Santa Ana store, contacts us from elsewhere in Southern California, or orders online from another state, we want them to feel seen and supported. At L7, we call them riders because we hope to be part of where their journey begins—and where it takes them next.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I don’t think of my professional journey in terms of good luck or bad luck. I believe in destiny, preparation, and the determination to keep moving toward what I’m called to build. Some days that means taking a confident step forward. Other days, it means crawling, but I’m still moving.
There have been opportunities I’m grateful for and challenges I never would have chosen. Through both, J💜Y has been the strength I pull up from deep within. It doesn’t mean every day is easy. It means my circumstances don’t get the final say in how I show up for my family, my team, and our riders.
