Daily Inspiration: Meet Crissy London

Today we’d like to introduce you to Crissy London.

Hi Crissy, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hi my name is Crissy London aka C Money and I’ve been in LA now for about 8 years. Since I’ve being here I’ve grown a lot. I learned so much. I became a mom and had a son. I started taking my artistic side more seriously and created a clothing brand. I create content, vlogs, and blog. I create/write/produce my own songs/music and filmed my first music video which was VERY exciting for me. I look forward to putting out more in the future, even if no one listens. Being here taught me how important it is for me to be in alignment with what is for me. I have been able to define myself and figure out the things I want vs the things that are “expected” of me, convenient or easy. I’ve always known who I was but what I love about being here is that it gave me the fight to step into who I am. Be bold. Be authentic. Be fearless. Be a better Me. Strive to achieve the things. Make the daily small goals count. Cherish my present moment. Be fully present. Trust in myself. Believe in myself. Believe in God. I have learned a lot about energy, healing and relationships. I am excited to see how my future will evolve.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road for me hasn’t been very smooth but also at the same time I’d say God has never put more on my plate than I could handle. You know I really don’t think people talk about the transition to motherhood often enough because it’s more than just physically pushing a human out of your body! Dealing with the fluctuations in your hormones and trying to figure out who you are now because you were never just someone’s mom. My son is 5 years old now and I am still trying to figure it out. Crazy! I’ve spent a lot of time analyzing my daily routine and how I spend my time. What I want to do with said time. How can I find the balance between it all. I’ve learned to prioritize time for myself and my passions. Also to set aside alone time for decompression. It’s not easy but I am grateful. I wouldn’t trade him for anything else in this world. I understand it now. I never thought I would ever be a mom. Never got the hype but looking down at his little face that looks similar to my little face as a child, I am so proud of him. He inspires me to want to be a great mom and make sure he has the best life I can provide him. My little sweet.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m probably most known from my days of podcasting but these days, people might know me from my content creation. I make lifestyle, foodie, travel vlogs and share some of my arts/projects. I also own a clothing line, La Beachy Day where you can purchase some of the clothes I have designed. Lately, I’ve been doing more with my music which you can check out on my soundcloud. I created/filmed my first music video in S Korea which you can find on Youtube. I am most proud of this because not only is it a nod to my Korean heritage but I have been talking about wanting to do more things musically for YEARS so seeing that project through to the end was very satisfying for me. For me, I feel like I have been singing the music of other people my whole life and now I feel like I am finding the words to my own life. Making the soundtrack of my own life. I share because maybe the words I am singing are the ones someone else has been waiting to sing that describes what they have been feeling/going through as well. The filming part of my first video was a little stressful due to some conflict and some wardrobe malfunctions(!) to just little inconveniences. Maybe I will tell more details about it if I ever become “famous” (wink!) hahaha but after I edited it, I felt like it just came together as it should have. I guess what sets me apart is that I’m creating for me. Which I guess is what everyone says but essentially I am Me. I cannot be anyone else. I am not anyone else. I am not what others have tried to project on to me. Some people may vibe with it, others may not but I’m not looking for validation. My intentions in my projects is to express myself authentically in my own way. It makes me happy. I enjoy the act of creating and I am enjoying who I am becoming. Getting older, I also want my creations to “age” with me so it’s important for me to be relevant to where I am at in my life, not what others may want. It might not make sense to you but that’s okay. That’s what art is and I just love the freedom it makes me feel.

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
I am an archaeologist. I have about 15+ years experience. I’ve worked all over the US digging on many different projects for many different companies.. I’ve found many historic/prehistoric artifacts and prehistoric tools. The coolest thing I’ve found prehistoric wise was a piece of a prehistoric beveled knife which makes the list because that was my first one I found. Total amount of projectiles has to be at least 20+. People always ask about the projectiles aka “arrowpoints”. Coolest historic was an old rusted revolver! It was hidden underneath the floorboards of a burned down old building which was hidden under the debris of the street! Apparently they had just built on top on it. I got out of the field after my son was born but I’d be down to go back occasionally so if anyone needs an extra hand on an excavation, hit me up! I’ve worked a lot of different careers and worn a lot of hats in my life such also having some experience in an archive, tech, insurance, and sales, etc. I would just say to anyone out there still trying to figure out what they want to do, try it all! Not sure what I want to do next but I don’t intend on stopping my explorations of the things that interest me. We only have only life and you honestly never know what may happen next! Thank you to anyone who has ever supported me, liked my content, vibed with me, broke bread with me and believed in me. I appreciate all of you and wish you all the best.
