Today we’d like to introduce you to Isaiah Washington.
Hi Isaiah, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey began with a genuine passion for the weight room something I fell in love with as a freshman in high school in 2010. That experience became the spark that set everything in motion. I went on to compete as a collegiate football player, where I developed a strong foundation in discipline, teamwork, and performance at a high level.
During my college career, injuries created a shift in perspective. While they presented challenges on the field, they also opened my eyes to the importance of performance training, recovery, and the science behind optimal movement. That turning point led me to transition my academic focus to exercise science, where I began to deeply study the human body, health, and performance.
Since then, I’ve been committed to applying both my athletic background and scientific knowledge to help others perform at their highest level. My approach is rooted in experience, education, and a genuine passion for elevating individuals whether in sport or in everyday life.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been a smooth road and that’s truly been one of the most valuable parts of the journey. Early on, I made the decision to step out of my comfort zone and relocate to a new state, taking a leap of faith to pursue an opportunity at DOGPOUND in Los Angeles. While it was an exciting move, it came with its own set of challenges. Building a clientele from the ground up in a new city required patience, consistency, and an unwavering belief in my craft. At the same time, I was the youngest on the team, navigating an environment where I had to quickly earn respect and prove my value. Being away from family and familiar support systems added another layer of pressure it was a completely different experience from anything I had known before. However, those challenges became defining moments for me. They pushed me to grow not only as a professional, but as a man. I learned resilience, discipline, and how to stand firmly on my own foundation. That period shaped my mindset, strengthened my work ethic, and ultimately refined the way I show up for my clients today.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
One of my most meaningful childhood memories revolves around football. It was more than just a game to me it was the first place I truly understood the value of brotherhood, discipline, and genuine teamwork. Being part of a team taught me how to trust others, hold myself accountable, and respect both victory and defeat with the same level of humility. That early exposure to fair sportsmanship and collective effort shaped not only how I approached athletics, but how I carry myself in life and in my career today.
Equally important were the moments spent with my family. Whether it was simple gatherings, or just being present with one another, those experiences grounded me. They taught me the importance of connection, support, and staying rooted in what truly matters.
I think what makes these memories so special is how relatable they are. Many people can look back on a time when they first felt part of something bigger than themselves whether through sports, family, or community. For me, those early lessons became the foundation for everything I’ve built since.
