Today we’d like to introduce you to Chris Miranda.
Hi Chris, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I officially started doing voiceover in 2020. It’s something that always fascinated me, so I made the decision that year to really commit to learning the craft and putting in the reps.
Early on, I was studying old commercials, pulling transcripts, and reworking them in different tones and styles — just trying to understand how everything actually works behind the mic and develop my own sound.
What really changed everything for me was in my first year, I was nominated for Best Male Voice in a Commercial at the One Voice Awards. That was a huge moment — it kind of confirmed for me that I was on the right path and that this was something I could really build a future in.
Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to work with brands like Mercedes-Benz, Modelo, and Spotify, along with a range of other companies worldwide. I’m still building, still learning, but I’ve found my lane — a grounded, modern style that feels real and connects.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road — but that’s part of the process.
One of the biggest challenges has been balance. Voiceover isn’t just about recording — it’s auditions, marketing, networking, building relationships… all of it matters. Figuring out how to manage your time and stay consistent across all those areas takes discipline.
Another part of the journey is working with different types of clients. Most are great, but every now and then you run into situations that aren’t the right fit. I’ve even been let go from a client I worked with for a couple of years. At the time, that was tough — especially because it was consistent work.
But moments like that force you to grow. You adjust, refocus, and keep moving. And in my experience, it really is true — when one door closes, others open. That shift pushed me to think more strategically about my business, and ultimately led to new opportunities I might not have gone after otherwise.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’ve been working as a professional voice actor for about six years now, and honestly, one of the things I’m most proud of is seeing something I once visualized actually come to life.
Over that time, I’ve been nominated three times at the One Voice Awards. That means a lot to me — especially being up against some incredibly talented voices in the industry. It really reinforced that I’m in the right lane and building something real.
As far as what I specialize in, my strength is in confident, grounded reads that feel natural and easy to connect with. Whether it’s commercial, promo, or narration, I aim to bring a sense of control and authenticity — something that feels real, not forced.
What sets me apart is that balance. I can bring a strong, authoritative presence when needed, but still keep it approachable and human. That mix of confidence and relatability is what I lean into, and it’s what clients tend to come back for.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
Honestly, I give a lot of the credit to my wife and my daughter.
They’ve been my biggest supporters from day one — whether it’s last-minute auditions, late-night sessions, or taking quick gigs even while we’re on vacation. That kind of support makes a huge difference when you’re building something from the ground up.
My daughter especially keeps me grounded. The look on her face when she hears my voice on a commercial… that’s something I can’t even really put into words. It reminds me why I do this and keeps everything in perspective.
At the end of the day, having that kind of support system behind me is everything. I wouldn’t be where I am without them.
