Exploring Life & Business with Cynthia of Dry cleaning

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cynthia.

Hi Cynthia , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
How I started and got involved with business industry was due to my parents. They own a dry cleaning business and I pretty much grew up in the industry and knowing a great amount of knowledge since I was a young kid. I started modeling in 2021 and has been an amazing journey that has really grown onto me and that I truly adore and keep being inspired to be and create.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been an easy road for me, I would say there was a lot of struggles of really branching out to things I wanted in my life and having to sacrifice a lot in my life due to my family and the family business. They’ve owned it since I was about 7 years old and I feel like from such a young age I’ve had to maneuver around my parents schedule always and didn’t have much of a choice to. It really made me feel lost and like I didn’t know what path I wanted to go as I got older and left me with feeling like I always had to make sacrifices for others. Like I couldn’t take my own journey and learn the lessons of life differently than what I have gone through and taking the lead and initiative. I also didn’t get to be creative like my heart desires and craved and having to push that down for so long and being criticized by my own family that it was only a fantasy I was trying to go for rather than realistic took a toll on me and my vision of my future self.

We’ve been impressed with Dry cleaning, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am currently a manger for two dry cleaning businesses that my family own. What sets me apart from others in my hard work ethic, efficiency, attention to detail, and my attitude. I really give my all in everything I do and it shows with my actions. I am also I model part time and really enjoy being creative and working with others. Definitely willing to create someone else’s artistic vision and bring it to life is amazing feeling and accomplishment.

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
I would say many people do not know I love poetry. I write it, listen to it, and read it. It’s an amazing passion of mine that I enjoy diving into and it really helps me express myself and be relatable as well. It’s a great pleasure being able to read poetry and get to know the person who ends up developing such touching, profound experiences and feelings into writing which I find beautiful and one of kind.
