Daily Inspiration: Meet Pravika Priyanshu

Today we’d like to introduce you to Pravika Priyanshu.

Hi Pravika, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
The journey from inspiration to realization often begins with a single, decisive action. For me and my friend, that moment arrived when we chose to stop waiting for the perfect timing and instead began utilizing the talents and resources already at our disposal. By sharing our work on social media, we shifted from passive observation to active creation.
As our digital presence grew, a conversation with my friend Layla sparked a turning point. We realized that our potential was no longer confined to our current surroundings. While we weighed the merits of various creative hubs like Los Angeles and San Diego, our vision eventually cleared, leading us to a definitive choice: New York City.
In preparation for this transition, we captured professional modeling digitals and began the submission process. Though we approached these applications with tempered expectations, the response was swifter than anticipated. Following a morning at church, I discovered an email from a verified, high-profile agency in Los Angeles requesting a meeting for upcoming castings and assignments. While I ultimately had to decline the opportunity due to my commitment to the move to New York, the outreach served as a powerful validation of our path. Since then, interest from additional agencies has continued to grow for both Layla and me.
Parallel to our modeling pursuits, our creative reach expanded into dance. After posting a choreographed video on TikTok, the featured artist recognized our work and reposted it to his own global audience.
These milestones have reinforced a fundamental truth: success often requires the courage to simply start. However, I recognize that none of this would be possible without a higher purpose. I believe that when you extend your hand to meet your goals, God does the rest. Ultimately, all the glory belongs to Him, as He has turned what once felt out of reach into a tangible reality.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
While the journey has been challenging and the path ahead promises to be even more demanding, I remain confident and at peace, trusting in a higher purpose to guide my steps.
Admittedly, I face the common human struggle of maintaining consistent discipline, which can add unnecessary friction to an already complex transition. Relocating to a new city as the eldest child in an immigrant family carries a unique weight and set of responsibilities. It required several days of difficult conversations to gain my mother’s blessing, though I have chosen to keep the specific motivations behind my move to New York private for now; I look forward to sharing the full scope of my success with her once I have achieved a major professional milestone.
Balancing these aspirations with the demands of a full-time career is often exhausting for both Layla and me. However, we are fully committed to the hustle required to reach our goals. It is that anticipation of what’s to come that sustains me through these current trials.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a multi-disciplinary creative with a background in dance and an emerging focus on modeling and performance. I believe in a career without borders, pursuing every project that sparks my curiosity—from movement and visual storytelling to the dramatic arts. My goal is to evolve across multiple mediums rather than being defined by a single title.

I’m driven by intention and integrity. Beyond the visual or the performance, my work is rooted in a desire to inspire. I want my growth. From dance to modeling and beyond; to serve as a testament that there are no limits to what we can accomplish.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Born in Fiji and relocating to the United States at age twelve, my journey has been defined by significant cultural and personal transitions. Once a reserved child who navigated severe anxiety through the discipline of dance, I discovered my voice and a sense of community through my early professional experiences. This period of growth was also marked by a profound spiritual awakening, which remains the cornerstone of my identity. Today, I leverage that former shyness as a source of empathy and social connection, showing that transformation is always possible.
