Meet Dillian The Celebrity of Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dillian The Celebrity.

Dillian, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I grew up in Beaumont, Texas, as a little Black gay boy, raised by my incredible mom and grandmother. They taught me everything about unconditional love and instilled in me the values of grace and resilience. My grandmother shared her recipes with me, and together we even started a cool cup business—frozen Kool-Aid served in cups! We spent our summers hustling to save up for trips to Schlitterbahn Water Park in Galveston.

My mom was a true hustler, mastering the art of being bougie on a budget. We’d spend hours at Goodwill searching for the most fashionable finds, and she taught me how to create something out of very little. Through their lessons, I discovered the power of storytelling through fashion, allowing me to carry on their legacy in my own unique way.

With a family of 16 uncles and aunts, I learned to be my authentic self, drawing inspiration from their vibrant personalities. Being a host and emcee comes naturally to me, thanks to their lively influence.

Now, my entertainment career has taken off. I kicked things off by competing in my first reality show, The Anonymous, on Peacock, and I’ve since built my presence on social media through the SnapChat 523 program cohort. From hosting red carpets to moderating panels and bringing that celebrity energy to live events, I’ve carved out a space for myself in the entertainment industry that resonates with my passion for fashion.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
t hasn’t always been a smooth road for me. Growing up, I faced teasing in school for being “too fat” and endured hurtful nicknames. I struggled with the shame of embracing my sexuality, and being larger felt like an automatic strike against me. Comments about “acting like a girl” further alienated me, leaving me to constantly question my place in the world.

Hiding my true self from my mom before she passed away was another challenge I grappled with. I didn’t realize then that owning my truth could unlock a profound sense of joy. After her death, I made a promise to myself: to never live in regret again. To reclaim everything others had tried to take from me, I designed a 28-foot long rainbow pride durag and led the LA Pride Parade. That moment was about honoring my identity and celebrating my joy!

From that experience onward, I embraced my differences and showcased them proudly, putting them on a pedestal for the world to see. What I’ve learned is that the flaws others project onto me are simply a part of my unique story, and embracing them is what real joy looks like.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am an emcee and host, passionate about bringing energy and excitement to every event! I have the privilege of hosting and interviewing celebrities on red carpets, moderating engaging panel discussions, and delivering entertainment at live events. With my bubbly personality and dynamic style, I thrive in the world of pop culture, sports, concerts, and all things entertainment.

Throughout my career, I’ve collaborated with global brands such as Amazon, Lipton Tea, Gymshark, and Live Nation, among others. These experiences have not only helped me establish a prominent presence in the entertainment industry but have also allowed me to showcase my personal fashion flair. I’m dedicated to creating memorable moments and ensuring every audience feels the excitement!

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory is when I got the lead solo for my fifth-grade graduation and sang “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell. 🎤✨ It was my first time holding a microphone in front of a large crowd, and that moment truly lit up my life. I felt an electric connection with the audience and knew—right then and there—that I was destined to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. That experience sparked my passion for performing and has continued to inspire me ever since.
