Exploring Life & Business with Tamara Schexnayder of CH Lymphatics

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tamara Schexnayder.

Hi Tamara, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I am a registered nurse who suffered a shoulder injury that took me out of commission for several years. During that time, I was navigating my own recovery while also reflecting on my mother’s illness and the gaps I had witnessed in traditional care.
While I was teaching courses on the nervous system and the lymphatic system, something clicked. I realized how connected these systems are and how critical they are to healing, recovery, and overall health. The lymphatic system is not often mentioned or supported in everyday care.
That realization shifted everything for me. It changed how I understood my own recovery and clarified the direction I wanted to move in that honors the body’s systems, prioritizes education, and gives people resources to be proactive in their health and heal.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth ride. My first location served an important purpose in getting my business off the ground, but I eventually realized I was in a cycle of seeing clients and immediately putting that income back into rent, advertising, and supplies, without the ability to expand in a meaningful way.
Without having a new location secured, I made the decision to step out of that rental agreement at the end of the month. I felt an immediate sense of relief and trusted that if I was meant to continue this work, the right space would open up.
Three days later, someone told me about the location I’m in now. Which was a great find.

As you know, we’re big fans of CH Lymphatics . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
CH Lymphatics is a nurse-led wellness practice. I specialize in manual lymphatic drainage, post-surgical recovery, breast health support, and whole-body wellness for clients dealing with inflammation, swelling, chronic stress and general wellness.
What sets my work apart is the combination of clinical knowledge, hands-on care, and education. As a registered nurse and nurse educator, I help clients understand their bodies and support their healing beyond the treatment room. I’m building a brand that feels safe, informed, and empowering, while bringing awareness to an often-overlooked system that plays a critical role in overall health.

How do you think about happiness?
Being a wife and mother, and helping people feel better in their bodies, are what bring me the most happiness. My family is my why, they love me and they ground everything I do both personally and professionally.
