Hidden Gems: Meet Trevor Queen of Dynamic Experiences

Today we’d like to introduce you to Trevor Queen.

Hi Trevor, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I was born and raised in Annapolis, Maryland, and grew up as a shy, nerdy, but deeply curious and observant kid. I was also raised in a spiritually grounded household, which gave me an early foundation of faith and the belief that with discipline, purpose, and trust in God, anything was possible. As I got older—especially in middle school, when I became more social—I began to truly understand the value of connecting with people from different backgrounds and learning from their perspectives. That shift, paired with a growing sense of ambition, pushed me to get involved in extracurricular activities and focus on becoming as well-rounded as possible. Looking back, that period laid the foundation for the multi-faceted professional I am today.

Academically, I knew early on that earning a full ride to college was essential, especially knowing my family wouldn’t be able to afford tuition. In 2012, that goal became a reality when I was named the first Gates Millennium Scholar from Annapolis. That opportunity completely changed my life and has supported my education all the way through my current doctoral studies.

Outside of school, I’ve always had a strong entrepreneurial mindset. I was constantly exploring ideas, building things, and learning how systems worked, which led me to gain experience across marketing, operations, project management, and eventually production. All of those experiences have come together in a full-circle way, and today production plays a major role in my day-to-day as I continue to elevate my career in Los Angeles.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not a smooth road. One of the biggest struggles has been dealing with insecurity and the habit of comparing myself to others, especially early on. As a first-generation college student, imposter syndrome was very real—I often felt like I had to prove that I belonged in rooms I worked hard to be in.

Another challenge has been being placed in a box because of how many different interests I have. I’ve always been passionate about multiple things, and instead of that being seen as a strength, it was sometimes treated like a lack of focus. Learning to trust my own path, lean into my range, and stop shrinking myself to fit expectations has been a big part of the journey.

Looking back, those struggles have also helped shape how I move now—more confident, more intentional, and a lot more comfortable owning all the parts of who I am.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I’m the COO and Executive Producer of Dynamic Experiences, an international event management and experiential company focused on creating seamless, unforgettable experiences for individuals, families, talent, and professional organizations. At our core, we handle high-touch event production, experiential marketing, curated travel, and fully custom experiences. We’re partnered with several hotels, resorts, venues, and vendors around the world to make sure everything feels elevated, organized, and effortless for our clients. Whether it’s a large-scale event, a private celebration, or something completely bespoke, we’re very hands-on and involved in every detail.

Outside of the company, I also help manage industry artists and influencers, consult with entrepreneurs on brand development, creative direction, and marketing, and support small business owners as they bring ideas from concept to execution. What truly sets me apart is how I approach the work. I come from a strong academic background, so my creativity is always grounded in strategy, analysis, and logistics. I’m able to zoom out and think big-picture while still ensuring every detail runs smoothly, all while maintaining a distinctive creative point of view. I also bring a personal, connective touch to every project by drawing from my own experiences, which allows me to create work that feels real, intentional, and culturally relevant—not just good on paper.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the trust I’ve built with my clients across the projects I’ve worked on. Being a multi-faceted producer has allowed me to develop a reputation for being dependable, thoughtful, creative, and calm under pressure. At the end of the day, I want readers to understand that I don’t just produce events—I redefine what experiences should feel like and create memories that truly last.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I don’t really believe in luck—I believe in alignment. I think when you’re fully aware of who you are, what you want, and how you move, the right people and opportunities tend to find YOU. That doesn’t mean the path is always easy, but it does mean things feel more intentional.

In my life and business, alignment has made the work more impactful and the outcomes stronger. When you genuinely connect with people and share values, the work naturally becomes more thoughtful, more collaborative, and more beautifully produced. Those moments people might call “lucky” usually come from showing up consistently, doing good work, and being open to genuine connection. If anything, I would call that HIGHLY FAVORED!
