Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren Trevino.
Hi Lauren, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey started with a deep interest in communication and storytelling. Early in my career, I worked across marketing, corporate communication, and television, which allowed me to see firsthand how powerful (or damaging) communication can be in shaping perception, trust, and results. I worked with brands and leaders from different industries, managing messaging, public presence, and social platforms with large audiences, and I quickly realized that success wasn’t just about strategy, it was about how clearly and intentionally that strategy was communicated.
As my experience grew, so did my desire to create something of my own. That led me to found Aspen Global Media, a marketing agency focused on helping brands position themselves with clarity, credibility, and impact. Through Aspen, I’ve had the opportunity to lead campaigns for clients across the U.S., build and manage communities of millions of followers, and work closely with entrepreneurs and companies that wanted to grow but were struggling to communicate their value effectively.
Over time, I noticed a consistent pattern: many businesses had great products, talented teams, and strong strategies, but their communication was holding them back. That insight pushed me to deepen my work as a communication consultant and speaker, focusing not just on marketing, but on how leaders, teams, and organizations communicate internally, externally, and in high-stakes situations like sales, negotiations, and public speaking.
Today, I combine my agency experience with consulting and training, helping entrepreneurs, leaders, and companies communicate with clarity, authority, and intention. My work sits at the intersection of communication, leadership, and business growth, because I’ve seen that when communication improves, everything else follows.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. I’ve always told my mom that her daughter would never starve, that I would always find a way forward, and that mindset has carried me through many challenges.
Starting as a woman, a Latina, and entering the business world before turning 30 came with its own obstacles. Many business owners I encountered were men, and there were moments when my capabilities were questioned simply because of my age or gender. Still, many of those same people gave me the opportunity to prove myself, and I helped their businesses grow.
When I first decided to fully commit to entrepreneurship, I resigned from a full-time job because I knew I couldn’t build my dream halfway. Days after quitting, reality hit, I had no clients, no steady income, and bills to pay. I even worked as a private driver to make ends meet while I worked on landing my first clients.
I worked nonstop, seven days a week, barely resting. Once I finally had clients, I did everything myself: strategy, photography, video production, post-production, client meetings, analytics, everything. It wasn’t until I reached my limits that I realized I couldn’t grow alone, and that building a team was essential. Every struggle shaped my resilience, my leadership, and the way I show up for my clients today.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Aspen Global Media is a full-service marketing agency focused on helping brands grow through strategy, visibility, and results. We began by working closely with personal brands, entrepreneurs, executives, and public figures, supporting them with branding, content creation, and digital presence. As our work evolved, we expanded to serve businesses across different industries, from startups to established companies looking to scale their marketing efforts.
Today, Aspen Global Media specializes in digital marketing strategy, social media management, content production, branding, paid advertising, and online positioning. We design and execute marketing strategies that are not only visually strong, but also aligned with business objectives such as lead generation, audience growth, and sales. Our team has managed digital platforms with millions of followers and developed campaigns that strengthen brand visibility and performance across multiple channels.
What differentiates Aspen Global Media is our strategic approach. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all marketing or chasing trends without direction. Every brand we work with receives a customized strategy based on its goals, audience, and market position, ensuring that marketing efforts translate into real business impact.
Separately from the agency, I work as a Communication Consultant, helping business owners, leaders, and teams strengthen how they communicate in high-impact environments, whether that’s presenting ideas, negotiating, selling, leading teams, or representing their brand publicly. My background in marketing, corporate communication, and television allows me to bridge strategy with execution, ensuring that messages are not only well-crafted, but clearly understood and trusted.
What I’m most proud of is building Aspen Global Media into a results-driven agency while also developing my own practice as a Communication Consultant. Together, both paths allow me to support brands and leaders not only in how they market themselves, but in how they show up, influence, and lead through communication.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I define success as feeling fulfilled, at peace, and aligned with what I do every day. For me, success isn’t just about numbers, titles, or external recognition, it’s about building a life and a career that feel meaningful and intentional.
Success means waking up knowing that my work reflects who I am, that I’m growing personally and professionally, and that what I do creates impact for others. It’s the balance between ambition and well-being: working hard toward big goals while still having inner peace, freedom, and clarity.
I also see success as progress. Being able to look back and recognize growth, resilience, and lessons learned along the way. And ultimately, success is having the courage to build something that feels true to you, even when the path isn’t easy or perfect.
