Today we’d like to introduce you to Caesar Garcia.
Hi Caesar, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My story is a bit of a winding road that has a broad range of personal and professional experiences that ultimately led to self discovery; empowering me to have the courage to follow passions and pursue adventures that continues to drive me today. I will highlight three critical experiences that have truly shaped the trajectory of my life.
In 2006 I was able to participate in a fundraising event, Journey of Hope, with my college fraternity where we raised funds on behalf of people with disabilities. I was 1 of 30 men who rode their bicycles from San Francisco to Washington DC over a 63 day period to raise awareness for the cause. Along the way we would have friendship visits where we would hang out and play with individuals who had physical and mental disabilities, and hand out checks to organizations we raised money for. This experience made a big impact on my life as I was able to experience firsthand how fortunate I was to be healthy and capable individual and that I should not take it for granted or waste my abilities. This really jumpstarted my fitness and charitable philosophy in my adulthood. Afterward, I continued to commit to charitable causes while taking on endurance challenges many say are “crazy” including, 4 Ironman triathlons, ultra marathon trail running events, and various cycling challenges. These events and experiences have not only benefited me physically, but mentally as well. Not only have I been able to tackle physical challenges, but my mental toughness has help through times of personal difficulty and losses to everyday obstacles. Knowing I can get through the rough patches really helps keep a positive outlook.
The mental fortitude I gain really opened the doors to having the courage to take on other adventures. In 2015, after being burnout from corporate life, my partner and I quit our jobs, rented out our condo and toured the US in an RV. For 2 years we were able to explore many of the treasurers the US has to offer and it is a time in my life I am very fortunate to have had. Knowing that we could survive and thrive without corporate jobs really freed us from being slaves to corporate America and relying on it for our livelihood. Having the mental toughness knowing I can get through hard times and pairing it with my entrepreneurial spirit and resourcefulness, really allowed for other accomplishments from opening a small CrossFit gym, in Oakland, CA to investing and living abroad in Mexico for 2 years.
I’m one of those people who sees the glass half full. When I was laid off from a corporate job, I seized the opportunity to follow a passion I started in 2012 but never completed – Real Estate. I have come to realize I am a man of service and it brings me lot of happiness to help others. Real estate is something I have always been fascinated with (I actually studied to be an architect) and it is a career where I am able to help others, and empower people to move confidently toward a better livelihood. It has been the key driver that has allowed me to pursue and experience many of my adventures and success. After seeing how the right support can transform someone’s life, I’ve made it my purpose to provide clarity, confidence, and genuine care to every client I serve. I help people not only find the right home, but also use real estate as a pathway to long-term wealth, stability, and possibility.
Outside of Real Estate you can find me producing house music. I started my music career in the 90’s and have been featured on the legendary PowerTools Mixshow in Los Angeles, California, as well as various other radio and online shows across the US. My style of music draws on influences from soul and gospel music, but growing up during the height of LA and Chicago Hard House, you can hear that I still maintain a harder banging style of music. My goal is to produce top quality house music that makes the people move, smile, and come together across all dance floors.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
As any journal goes, there are highs and lows and far too many to get into. However, I will highlight a critical lesson that has transformed my approach and outlook to obstacles and challenges. One of the influential leaders I was fortunate to have in my career introduced me to the Growth Mindset philosophy. Essentially a Growth Mindset embraces challenges, learns from criticism, finds inspiration in others’ success, and fosters a love for learning.
I truly see challenges as opportunities. For example:
When I lost my job – I saw this as an opportunity to follow a passion and make a transition into Real Estate
When Covid hit and forced me to close my gym – I saw this as an opportunity to flip a house, buy property and move to Mexico.
When I get rejected, lose a deal, or fail – it is a learning opportunity. I perform a post mortem to find where I failed so I can learn and improve for next time.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a real estate professional driven by a passion for helping people make confident, informed decisions. After my own experience with poor representation as a first-time buyer, I made it my mission to ensure my clients always feel educated, supported, and empowered.
My mission is simple: To empower clients with clarity, care, and real strategy; so they can move confidently toward their goals and build long-term wealth through real estate.
What set’s me apart from others is my outward – in approach. This means I look through the lens from my clients perspective and my clients objectives shape every aspect of the real estate process.
I’m known to help educate clients at every step. Integrity means everything to me and my clients have commended me on being honest with transparent communication. I am a man of service and I am committed to helping people, and offering real support; not pressure.
I am extremely proud of the work I do to help families and individuals. Knowing I played an important role during one of the most memorable milestones really puts a huge smile on my face.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
This is an interesting question. Nothing sticks out that makes me say I was lucky, or I was unlucky. I think I’ve been fortunate to have a couple of great mentors that have helped me grow and shape my perspective. You can say I was unlucky to have a string of bad leaders too. But is that really unlucky? At the time it sucked, but in the end it really taught me lessons on leadership and people relationships. So maybe you can say that was good luck?
I think the one thing that has helped in my life is not so much “luck”, but really not overthinking things. I try hard to not have paralysis by analysis. Once I say “yes” or “I’m going to do it” I just do it. I don’t look back or second guess myself. This really is the way my partner and I went on our 2 year RV adventure and how we moved to Mexico. It was just a matter of do we want to do it? Once the decision was made, we just stayed committed and did it.
