Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Hazzah.
Hi Amanda, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Rider safety and education has been my passion since originally certified as an Instructor by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation in 2001. I rode my motorcycle cross-country from Boston to Los Angeles in 2003 and opened my first training school, Westside Motorcycle Academy, in 2005 with a friend and colleague. In 2019 I decided to open my own training school, Clutch Motorcycle Training in Long Beach, where I currently reside. One year later, The Women’s Moto Project was born out of an idea stemming from the interactions with female students who were eager to continue their training in an all-female environment. My sister, Tara, along with mutual friend and colleague, Beth, began offering the nations first and only donation-based for-women, by-women motorcycle skills training.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting any company, whether it’s a for-profit like Clutch Motorcycle Training or a non-profit like The Women’s Moto Project takes an enormous amount of time and energy as well as an entire community to ensure its success. Thankfully, all of the long hours and hard work has paid off, as both companies are thriving. More importantly, both contribute to the positive growth of rider education.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?

The Women’s Moto Project offers non-licensing classes and training for women as well as the general public seeking to learn how to ride as well as increase their current knowledge and skill level of riding.
