Today we’d like to introduce you to Deanna Morris.
Hi Deanna, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’m a faith driven entrepreneur working in entertainment, where creativity, leadership, and vision intersects. I build experiences that inspire, elevate, and leave impact – not just moments. I believe excellence is worship, and I approach my work with both discipline and purpose. I began my career as an international actress, which opened the door for me to relocate to California to pursue film, television, and theatre. That foundation in entertainment naturally evolved into entrepreneurship, leading me to create 3D Morris Ent LLC, a parent company, under which now I operate multiple businesses. Today, I own three companies, speak publicly on faith and leadership, and I’m the author of a spiritual journal available on Amazon. Aside from running businesses, I volunteer heavily in ministry and I’m a current student, picking up where I began long before my entertainment career, which was a pathway to law.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My journey wasn’t easy. Coming from a small town navigating the industry as a single mother of two, I faced many setbacks and challenges along the way. What sustained me was my faith and my children-they became my motivation, my strength, and the reason I never gave up. I’ve accomplished a great deal at a young age, but I never took it for granted. Much of the work and sacrifice happened behind the scenes-long before the results were visible. I set clear goals and stayed committed to them, moving carefully, through difficult seasons but never giving up. I’ve encountered many challenges along the way, many, but when your faith is strong – you find peace knowing that season is temporary and it will eventually succumb.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a faith-led entertainment entrepreneur, artist, and business woman. I’m known for building with intention, specializing in impactful creative ventures, and what sets me apart is my discipline, leadership, kind heart, and commitment to longevity over trends. My biggest achievement isn’t a title or milestone-it’s being a present, intentional mother.
I’m mostly known for the creative projects both in front and behind of the camera, the many different physical skills I project as a female on social media, and/or my companies – Last Act Studio OC, a performing arts school/studio specializing in teaching the arts to children, teens, and adults, and my 501(c)3 nonprofit ministry, Seven Sacred Swords which uses music and ministry to help those in need – both companies are located in Orange.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I do not believe in luck as much as I believe in preparation, faith, and persistence. The good moments often came because I was ready and willing to step forward- leap of faith. The tough moments taught me resilience and stategy. In every case, faith and persistence were what truly shaped the outcome.
