Hidden Gems: Meet Bunny Jeter of DJ Bunny Music for all Occasions

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bunny Jeter.

Hi Bunny, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I djed in the early eighties for fun, and girls liked hanging around them. I made a little bit more money having my own parties and hiring djs. In the late 80s, I started dating my wife to be. I figured I’d never dj again. After getting married and starting a family, a friend at church was having a barbecue and she asked me, weren’t you a DJ back in the day and I said yes, but I don’t have any equipment. I threw together 2 CD players and a mixer a amp and speakers and rocked it without mixing the songs cause I had no pitch control. After the barbecue, somebody asked me if I did weddings. I told him no. What’s on the late nineties I looked into what the technology was as far as cd players with pitch control, and bought. I made a few thousand dollars in 1999. My tax/accountant asked me if I had made any extra money that year and I said yes. He said, what did you do? I told my djed the few parties. He said, why don’t you start a business. After talking it over with my wife and praying about it in 2000 i started DJ Bunny Music For All Occasions DJ Service. I’ve been booked since then. The only time I stopped was 2020 2 months during COVID, and I had a major surgery in 2023 and was out of commission for 2 months.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s been pretty smooth.

As you know, we’re big fans of DJ Bunny Music for all Occasions . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I do what the client wants me to do not what I wanna do. Keep it clean and fun. I’m proud that I can read a crowd no matter what age. My DJ service is to serve my client with a clean DJ set-up.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
My inspiration back in the eighties, was a DJ called Robert Martin from the crew i was appart of called ECLIPSE. I loved his style of mixing. My wife also it encouraged me even though in the beginning she wasn’t too happy about it.
