Today we’d like to introduce you to Jackie Robnett.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I began my career as a Behavior Interventionist, where I instantly fell in love with the impact I could make in individuals’ lives—especially those on the autism spectrum. That passion guided my path into the classroom, where I became a teacher dedicated to supporting individuals with diverse needs. As my experience grew, I pursued board certification as a Behavior Analyst, deepening my expertise and expanding my ability to support both individuals and educators. Today, as an administrator, I continue that mission while also training future BCBAs. Every step of my journey has been rooted in the same goal: creating meaningful, lasting change for individuals and the people who serve them.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t always been a smooth road. Everything along the way has come with its own set of challenges. One of the toughest periods was pursuing my board certification while working full-time as a classroom teacher—it demanded long hours, sacrifice, and a lot of determination. Despite that, I pushed through, and those challenges ultimately strengthened my commitment to the work I do today.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about LA Behavioral Therpay?
Our organization is dedicated to supporting individuals on the autism spectrum, with a particular focus on adults who continue to need guidance in managing daily living skills. This population is often overlooked, so it’s important to us that they receive thoughtful, dignified, and specialized support.
We’re known for being compassionate, caring therapists who truly love the work we do. What sets us apart is our individualized approach—meeting each person where they are, honoring their strengths, and helping them build the skills they need to thrive. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions; instead, we create meaningful, person-centered plans that support independence, confidence, and overall quality of life.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the trust we’ve built with the individuals and families we serve. Our reputation is rooted in empathy, professionalism, and genuine connection. For readers, I want them to know that our mission goes beyond services—we’re here to create long-term impact and to ensure every individual receives the respect, support, and opportunities they deserve.
What matters most to you?
What matters most to me is integrity—and, above all, my two kids. As a single mother, raising them on my own has come with its share of challenges, but they are my greatest motivation. They push me to be better, do better, and lead with honesty and purpose in everything I do. They’re the reason I show up every day with determination and heart.
