Meet Simmya Tave of 7 Hair Bar By MES / The Foodie Culture LA

Today we’d like to introduce you to Simmya Tave.

Hi Simmya, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Hey guys, I’m back! In my very first interview, I mentioned that I was a nursing student — and today, I’m incredibly proud to say that I am now a licensed nurse. My journey into nursing is deeply personal. In 2020, I cared for my grandfather during his illness, and losing him that year changed my life. Being by his side, advocating for him, and seeing firsthand the impact compassionate care can make is what inspired me to pursue nursing in the first place.

The road wasn’t easy. I dedicated long nights to studying, spent countless hours away from my child, and often drove up to two hours just to make it to clinicals. With so much happening at once, I decided to temporarily pause 7 Hair Bar by Mes — but I’m thrilled to share that we’re officially relaunching this December!

With all the recent changes and uncertainty surrounding the nursing field and government regulations, I’ve chosen to pause my RN/NP pathway for now. Even so, I haven’t stepped away from my goals. My med spa is still in progress, and I’m currently working toward opening an assisted living facility in Carson, which I hope to launch within the next year.

Alongside all of this, I remain a proud co-owner of The Foodie Culture LA — our catering brand that continues to grow and flourish beautifully. My journey has been full, challenging, and rewarding, and I’m excited for everything that’s still ahead.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
