Today we’d like to introduce you to Tenice Holman.
Hi Tenice, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Do you remember a moment in your life when you had the utmost clarity? The kind of clarity that reveals a door, one leading to a path you subconsciously yet wholeheartedly know you must walk through. You may not know where it will lead or how far it will take you, but you trust your spirit, your intuition, for it knows and sees what you can’t in the moment. That’s how my journey began.
I awakened to a different path, a different life, a different version of myself that I was meant to become. Nothing warned me, yet everything prepared me for what was ahead. Twelve years ago, I sheepishly stumbled upon my first business mentor and coach, who set the precedent for the mindset and discipline needed to become a business owner and entrepreneur. At the time, I knew nothing about business or a strong money mindset, but I started the path anyway. Little did I know how much growth and disappointment I would experience along the way. But I wouldn’t change any of it.
When you’re creating something special, you get to see every part of yourself. What you’re great at and where you require growth. For me, the key question has always been: What can I learn? And how can I apply it? Along the way, I explored several network marketing opportunities, and one recurring theme in the trainings that always stood out was: Are you coachable? I’ve since applied that question to life itself. What can I learn from this experience, this exchange, this challenge? Am I open to receiving new ways of doing things? What do I need to refine? How can I shift to have better experiences?
That mindset has led me to where I am today, the expansion of Organized To The T; Me. By next year, it will evolve into a new company, a new name, and a renewed purpose. I once took a course from a businesswoman with the SBA who said, “Some of you will stay stuck because you don’t want to pivot.” That message haunted me for years because, at the time, I was one of those people, stuck in a single vision of my business and my life. I hadn’t yet understood the flexibility and true freedom that entrepreneurship allows, if applied.
I know this journey has really just begun, but I’m incredibly grateful for everything I’ve learned, everything I’ve failed at, and everyone who’s crossed my path and contributed to my growth in some way. Being both creative and analytical has given me the best of both worlds, and I’m excited to expand and thrive on this new level.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has been anything but smooth, but it has been deeply transformative. One of my biggest obstacles has been myself. I’m a recovering perfectionist, and for years I believed everything needed to be perfect before I made a move. I wanted every duck in a row, every idea fully formed, every system flawless. That mindset slowed me down more than I realized. Learning to trust my instincts, act on the downloads, and pivot boldly in both my business and personal life has been a powerful shift.
Funding has been another major challenge. Like many small business owners, I’ve had to get resourceful, applying for grants, tapping into programs through the SBA, Public Counsel, PACE, and other business support organizations in Los Angeles. I’m grateful for the opportunities I’ve received, but consistent funding is still one of the biggest hurdles when you’re building a company brick by brick.
Another struggle was trying to do everything alone for far too long. For years, it was just me wearing every hat, admin, operations, marketing, design, client work, and everything in between. I had a few helpers along the way, but not true ongoing support. If you’re reading this: get help early. Delegate! Build a team, even if you don’t think you’re ready; learn as you go (if it applies). I wish I had done that pre-pandemic; things might look a little different today. But every part of that journey taught me resilience, resourcefulness, and the importance of building systems that support both the business and myself.
Overall, the challenges have shaped me. They pushed me to grow, to evolve, and to build a business that now reflects not just what I do, but who I’ve become.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Organized To The T?
Organized To The T is a lifestyle organization agency dedicated to creating spaces and systems that help people live and work with clarity, ease, and intention. What began as a simple organizing service has evolved into a multi-service company blending professional organization, interior design, and virtual business support.
I specialize in helping busy professionals reclaim their environments, streamline their processes, and create spaces that truly support their lifestyle. What sets OT³ apart is our integrated approach; we don’t just make a space look beautiful; we make it functional, sustainable, and aligned with the person who lives or works in it.
I’m most proud of how the brand has evolved. Every element, from the systems we build to the design aesthetic, reflects a commitment to simplicity, flow, and thoughtful living. My work is rooted in understanding what my clients truly need, then creating solutions that make their lives feel lighter and more organized.
At its core, Organized To The T is about transformation. It’s about helping people create environments that bring them peace, productivity, and balance. I’m grateful for the journey and excited for this next chapter as the company continues to grow and make an impact, one space at a time.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I’m not sure I believe in “bad luck,” but I do believe in alignment. Sometimes we go through experiences that feel unlucky in the moment, but they’re really lessons that push us toward growth, clarity, or a new direction.
In my journey, the hardest moments weren’t about my circumstances; they were about me. I went so hard for my business that my so-called “bad luck” became neglecting myself. I poured everything into building Organized To The T: I pushed past exhaustion, couch-surfed, sold valuables, maxed my personal funding, telling myself it was dedication. In reality, I was creating a low-vibrational experience that wasn’t sustainable. But those seasons taught me balance, boundaries, and the importance of building a business that supports my life, not consumes it.
On the other hand, I’ve experienced what many would call good luck, aligned timing, the right resources, and opportunities showing up exactly when I needed them. I’ve been incredibly blessed to participate in city and county business programs, receive private coaching, and work with mentors who kept me grounded and educated through every stage of entrepreneurship.
So for me, luck, good or bad, is really about alignment. The moments that challenge me refine me, and the moments that uplift me remind me that I’m on the right path. Either way, I stay grateful, I stay prepared, and I keep moving forward.
