Conversations with Gregory Pomeroy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gregory Pomeroy.

Gregory, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Previously, Greg worked for an international tax firm, working with businesses on relocation, business growth, and sustainable monetization. Jena spent years as a healthcare leader in business operations and marketing, creating meaningful behavior change. In a bold move to create a new life for ourselves and our children, we embarked in the wild world of entrepreneurship, starting Harmony in the Wild, back in 2020 and have enjoyed a freedom based lifestyle and location independent life ever since. That journey has brought many adventures from driving our campervan throughout North America to island hopping in Southeast Asia to backpacking through Europe all while world schooling and running our online businesses along the way!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Not smooth — but definitely worthwhile.

Choosing to forge your own path, especially one rooted in creativity and travel, means constantly stepping into the unknown. We’ve faced plenty of challenges: leaving the security of traditional jobs, navigating the instability of entrepreneurship, dealing with burnout, financial uncertainty, and even questioning whether we were “doing it right.”

Living and working on the road isn’t always as dreamy as it looks on Instagram — there’s a lot of behind-the-scenes hustle, tech breakdowns in remote places, moments of loneliness, and learning to work together as both life and business partners. On top of that, finding balance between work, creativity, and rest has been a continuous lesson.

But those struggles have also shaped us. They’ve forced us to get clear on our values, build systems that support our lifestyle, and continually ask ourselves: what does success really look like?

In the end, the hard parts made space for deeper alignment — and for the kind of slow, intentional, and adventurous life we now help others build for themselves.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
At its heart, Harmony in the Wild is a creative studio where we merge visual storytelling, conscious travel, and digital strategy to help people and brands live and share their wild, intentional lives.

We specialize in nature-inspired photography and travel experiences for adventurers, as well as digital marketing for purpose-driven entrepreneurs. Our work ranges from capturing the untouched beauty of wild landscapes to producing brand films and visuals that help small businesses amplify their voice and impact, and help travelers explore beautiful destinations. We also have a podcast and a series of journals that blend travel, mindfulness, and personal growth.

What we’re most proud of is the way we’ve built this life and business around our values. We’re not just creating art — we’re living the story. Every image we take, every piece of content we share, and every client we support is a reflection of a deeper mission: to inspire people to reconnect with nature, live more intentionally, and create with purpose.

What sets us apart is that we offer both the soul and the systems. We’re creators, strategists, and fellow travelers. We help others live and tell beautiful stories, but also build the infrastructure behind the scenes — whether that’s travel coaching, marketing funnels, strategic systems, or overall logistics — so their vision is sustainable.

We believe creativity and consciousness go hand in hand — and that’s the thread that runs through everything we do.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
We wouldn’t be where we are without a whole community of support behind us.

Our families have been some of our biggest cheerleaders from the start — encouraging us even when our path didn’t look conventional. We’re also incredibly grateful for the clients and collaborators who trusted us in the early days — who believed in our creative vision and gave us the space to grow into the work we do now.

We’ve had a few standout mentors along the way — people who reminded us to stay rooted in our values, especially when business got chaotic or life felt uncertain. From fellow digital nomads who showed us what was possible, to yoga and coaching communities that gave us tools to stay grounded, we’ve been shaped by a lot of quiet encouragement and generous wisdom.

And honestly, a lot of credit goes to the land itself — nature has been our greatest teacher. The quiet mornings in the wild, the moments of awe, the stillness between projects — those are the spaces where our best ideas and deepest clarity have come from.
