Daily Inspiration: Meet Freya Adams

Today we’d like to introduce you to Freya Adams.

Hi Freya, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born and raised in Wheaton Illinois and began my journey in acting as a child working with various networks and streamers such as Disney, FOX, ABC and Netflix. I was Inspired by all aspects of storytelling and developed my craft as a writer at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and received a BFA with an emphasis in play writing. After University, I continued my education at the Actors Studio Drama school in New York at Pace University where I received my Masters in Fine Arts (emphasis on acting/theatre) and also the Beverly Hills Playhouse in Los Angeles.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There have definitely been ups and downs, but that’s something every actor experiences. I truly enjoy the process every day and continue to push myself through new challenges in the industry. One of the hardest parts is finding the right role and dealing with rejection, especially when it’s for a part I really wanted. Still, I keep moving forward, trusting that my skills and dedication will lead me to the next opportunity.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am an actor, writer, and producer who has been performing since childhood, always driven by the dream of working on award-winning films and television. I’m best known for my role as Gwen 2.0 in the Sundance-premiered film Advantageous, which earned me recognition in 2015 as one of Sundance Film Festival’s Up-and-Coming Actors. Currently, I’m writing a script that explores the world of cybercrime and identity theft, while also serving as President and COO of a Los Angeles-based independent studio.

Over the years, I’ve been proud to build a career with more than 20 acting credits across a range of meaningful projects. What excites me most is what lies ahead, as I continue to pursue bold new opportunities and stories. My dedication to the craft sets me apart—I don’t shy away from challenges but embrace them fully, with the confidence and commitment to deliver my very best in every role.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
One of the biggest shifts I see in the entertainment industry is the growing use of AI. Every day, it’s becoming more advanced and more capable. I believe we’ll see a surge of creators turning to AI to bring their projects to life, especially independent filmmakers who can use it to save time and money. This evolution has the potential to level the playing field, giving more artists the tools to create stories that might not have been possible before.
