Today we’d like to introduce you to Saki.
Hi Saki, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’m a 32-year-old LA native and proud mom of three, thriving as a choreographer, model, and aerial artist. After years devoted to raising my kids, I came back full force — all gas, no brakes — expanding my creative path through pole, Lyra hoop, silks, chains, and lollipop, while balancing motherhood and my passion for the arts.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road toward my goals has never been easy — I started in entertainment at just 5 years old, juggling casting calls, training, and adult decisions before I even knew what it meant to be grown. By 11, I took a four-year break, then re-emerged during the height of the jerk movement, appearing in music videos, web shows, and securing clothing sponsorships.
At 19, I became a mom for the first time and shifted focus to raising my children, later choreographing at Academy of Dance Arts. Life took me on a different path, bringing me back to California as a single mother rebuilding from scratch. Entertainment has always been my passion, and though I had lost connections, I found a new lane as an exotic dancer, quickly standing out thanks to my dance background.
That chapter connected me with Miles Woods, aka Yung Pole Master, who became both mentor and trusted friend. With his guidance, I dove deeper into aerial arts — from pole and silks to Lyra hoop, chains, and lollipop — reclaiming much of what I once lost. My journey has been full of trials and tribulations, but each step has shaped the artist, mother, and performer I am today.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
As an entertainer, I thrive on exploring dance forms beyond traditional styles, and each new skill has opened doors I never imagined. Since returning, I’ve trained and performed with Polemasters Playhouse under the mentorship of Miles Woods, which positioned me to excel across multiple creative avenues.
I’ve signed with 216 Talent Agency, expanded into print and runway modeling, and appeared in music videos for LA artists including Mylani Tsunami, Uviermygod, Baby Dev, Gudda Brvckin, Kay Roll, Tay2xs, big dream and more. I currently serve as lead choreographer and pole dancer for Mylani Tsunami, performing alongside the Wave Team at major events, including opening for CupcakKe.
My modeling career has grown internationally — I’ve been featured twice overseas, including an international digital magazine that was showcased at Hustler Las Vegas’ anniversary art exhibit, as well as a fine art exhibit with photographer Teo. I’ve worked with brands like Hella Heels and CXIX, while recently stepping into runway, walking for designers such as TOTH and Animus Angel. Next, I’ll take the runway with the one and only Cierra Boyd animus angel and Sunminga.
I feel what sets me apart from others is my willingness to try new things, being open minded to creative direction & taking risks that have paid off career wise
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
I found my mentors by putting myself out there, seeing my potential, and giving it my all. Social media has definitely played a big part, but the most important thing is not being afraid to speak up for what you want. My grandma always told me, ‘a closed mouth doesn’t get fed,’ and it’s true. If I never spoke up, I wouldn’t be where I am today — and for that, I’m forever grateful
