Conversations with Nicole Vazquez

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Vazquez.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My husband and I met 17 years ago on my space through a mutual friend that he did a tattoo on, and I thought he was gorgeous, so I sent him a message and told him that I had money for a tattoo when I really didn’t just so that I could meet him, and we talked for weeks and then he invited me into the shop and I asked him if he would like me to bring him lunch and it was as simple as a subway sandwich, when I got there, he said nobody ever asked him if he wanted lunch before And he said I was different than every other girl and it was love at first sight and we have been inseparable ever since. And that grew into the love of tattoos and piercings, and I am now the CFO of his company. Monster Den Tattoo Shop is located in Anaheim California. This has been the best year yet for us in our relationship and in our business and we’re growing every single day.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The toughest thing is to make sure that your marketing to correct audience, and in the right places without good business ideas and marketing, strategies and goals then we wouldn’t be successful in doing all of this. We need to make sure that we have a strong team, that is trained properly And has great customer service and worked ethic and with all of this put together or the best in Orange County and striving to be better every single day.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
As the CFO of Monsters Den Tattoo Artist since the day me and my husband decided to build it together after he established it, I helped with the layout and organization and design of the entire shop. I’m a piercer, but I am First a business woman. I am very proud of the aesthetics and atmosphere that I brought into the shop, and I specialize in customer service so with all of those combined and with my husband skills, we were able to create an empire that we are so proud of. I enjoy learning new things, always making sure that we can make improvements to the shop, whether in our skills or professionalism or creativity or in the design at the shop to make sure it’s always the best for our clientsand that what brings me joy, and make our reviews so high and our customer’s always coming back.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
in our line of work, I feel that our skills and Customer Service is always the most important. You can always get trained on something, but if you don’t have great customer service and really care about your clients then you’ll never have success. it’s always about the client’s happiness. The client’s always come first.
