Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Devon Terrell Clark Professionally known as “Detea”

Detea has established a remarkable reputation in the music industry through partnerships with both creatives and artists.

Detea started his career in the music industry in 2016 as an artist before transitioning to production, then behind the scenes creating his production company “House Of WAVs” alongside Tez McClain. Detea got his big break in the music industry with the “Eventually” Mixtape in collaboration with Eric Bellinger. This pivotal project opened the door to numerous opportunities alongside Eric Bellinger and many other artists. Although he briefly stepped away from the industry, songwriter Watr, who he had already worked with, was working closely with Eric, began to seek Detea’s guidance , this reignited Detea’s career as manager of songwriter “WATR ( for This return allowed him to collaborate with Bellinger on various mixtapes and albums, including tracks such as “Mean What You Say,” “Repeat,” “Ain’t You Ex” featuring Tink and Mila J, “That’s Why” featuring Nipsey Hussle, and many others. Detea also contributed to the Big X The Plug & WATR’s “Max Steppers “ record featured in NBA 2K24 and has collaborated with notable artists like Mozzy, Symba, Tory Lanez, Jeremih and the list goes on.

In the coming years, Detea brought Surf Club Producer Geronimo into his fold, facilitating collaborations with artists and creatives such as DJ Mustard, Hunxho, Vory, Lil Tj, London On the Track, Bino Rideaux, Zoe Osama, Lefty Gun Play, Kalan FrFr, Bluebucksclan, Roddy Rich, Hit Boy, Big Sean, Trippie Red, and Future.

Detea’s impact has been profound, transforming the approach creatives take to their business. As a technician in the music field, he effectively advocates for creatives, understanding their challenges within the industry. Over the years, Detea has cultivated talent from the ground up, placing them in environments that foster their artistic growth.

Detea is deeply engaged in his community, attending industry events, booking performances, and scheduling sessions. Overall creating WAVs. His commitment to supporting artists and creatives is evident through his tireless efforts.

What sets Detea apart is his selflessness and dedication to others. While continuing to contribute significantly to the music industry, Detea has gone throughout life as an only child has also taken on the responsibility of being the sole caregiver for his mother whom fell ill/disabled in 2009. His work ethic is characterized by long hours and unwavering determination to create opportunities for collaboration within the industry. His compassion and desire to uplift those around him is remarkable.

Adversity of balancing life, business, music, friendships and family has been a roller coaster but, fruitful..

Mogul in the making!! Serial entrepreneur, I own multiple businesses, from Music Industry (House Of WAVs) to the Trucking industry (Triple T Transportation) as well as investment properties and stocks

How do you think about happiness?
Providing experiences and creating memories with those closest to me.. Also, Being a positive influence on the youth by keep them engaged though mentoring and inspiring. I love Touching People through Music and planting seeds through my presents.
